Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I found this interesting. Halo PC is 17th in Xfire stats. Not as dead as some people might think?

"World of Warcraft" is number 1? Never heard of it :P

Though, it is interesting that Halo PC is in the top 20.

Hmm, those stats are quite wrong, there are a heck of a lot more CS1.6 players than CSS players in reality. Sure it can't be accurate due to the fact that you have to actually use Xfire to be counted, but it's suprising it's so inaccurate. According to steam stats there is a double amount of CS 1.6 players to CSS.

It's obviously not meant to be factual data, rather, it is just a representation of what's happening on Xfire. That's why the they called it the Top 20 games on Xfire.

Those Cs1.6 players you speak of doesn't have to use Xfire. And since most of them probably don't, that's why CSS got a better rank. Dee Dee Dee?

Yes and no. Sometimes the obvious needs to be stated, so let me say that not everybody playing the games mentioned in these lists use Xfire. Therefore, don't expect this data to represent the top twenty games that are being played online in reference to the number of actual players.

Also, to restate the obvious, Halo PC does not have a friends list. No buddy system. No way to track friends or to contact other players through just the game itself. Therefore, many people who play Halo PC should and do use Xfire for this purpose. For all we know, there could be more people playing a game that isn't on that list than the amount of players that play Halo PC altogether.

Doh! So it's actually HPC's weaknesses that lend it to being in the top 20 in Xfire users. You're right though, this doesn't reflect overall game popularity online.

Excluding most MMO's, Gamespy displays Halo:CE as 11th. http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/

Replying to Master Kim:

Yes, but Halo PC would still have to be veary popular to get to that rank. With the amount of games that Xfire suports, just the lack of sertain features would probably not be enough to get Halo PC into the top 20.

Besides, it does at least prove that Halo is not dead, even if it is not one of the most popular games.

Eh, probably because all kids think about nowadays are games with "ub3r grapx mang" or games with the number 2 or 3 after them.
