Is the GeForce 7600GT decent for Halo 2 Vista? I'm looking for a grahpics card under $100.

Or is this a better deal? 8500GT I'm looking for a grahpics card under $100.

I think it runs it at medium at fairly decent resolutions.

I need 1680x1050.

Yup, it's plenty. I have a 7600GT and run Halo 2 at 1680 X 1050 and max settings and my framerate never drops (even with 4X AA though I eventually lowered it to 2X AA just in case (I don't notice a difference anyway))

Though I would recommend against Tiger Direct. They have bad customer service and a bad reseller rating. Go NewEgg!

0_o OK, this is EXTREMELY ODD compared to other peoples specs and game setting.

They most likely have an issue with a different component and not the graphics card.

My Specs (if it helps):
Vista Ultimate 64-bit
AMD Anthon X2 4600+
2GB DDRII
WD 160GB 10k RPM Raptor
nVidia GFeforce 7600GT

One more thing?
ATI has crossfire and nVidia has SLI for 2 graphics cards. What happens when you combine a Radeon X1300 Pro and a GeFroce 7600GT?

You can't.

Also, for SLI or Crossfire to work, I think you have to have the same card. I know cards from ATi and nVidia can't combine via SLI or Crossfire but I think you have to have the same model of card for any Crossfire or SLI to work.

aka lino4

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Go for the Radeon X1950 Pro. And no more thread jacking.
