They mostly come out at night... mostly...
I love talking about the pistol because people like me, (who love it immensely), get no love from bungie and get chewed out by all the Halo2 fans.
First of all, I want to say that Halo is not, and never will be, a realistic game. So people really need to stop talking about whether or not the pistol in HaloCE is realistic. If this is your best argument for why it was nerfed in Halo2, I say you're a moron.
Here is my favorite argument in support of the pistol. Without the pistol, HaloCE never becomes a smash-hit and Halo2 is never created. End of story for all the morons who can't comprehend this.
I'd also like to say screw realism. The pistol in HaloCE was an all around good weapon and balanced out all the power weapons. If you want a realistic game go play Nintendogs on the nintendo DS.
Not having the original pistol in Halo2 or Halo3 is a slap in the face to all the fans who made HaloCE a successful game. I guess I just want to complain as much as I possibly can since Bungie is never going to bring the original pistol back.
What's even more ironic is that people argue to no end that the pistol was overpowered, but you can't say anything against the "noob-combo" without getting crucified. Can we say hypocrites?
The logic in Bungie leaving the original pistol out of Halo2 just doesn't add up. I'm really interested in seeing what they take out of Halo2 when Halo3 arrives. Maybe the rocket launcher will blow bubbles in Halo3. When you have a game where a specific weapon is your bread and butter, how do you just leave it out of the sequel? I can't fathom any kind of justification. It's just laughable. Three cheers for Bungie... oh wait. I mean three cheers for ripping the hearts out of thousands of fans.
