Hello everyone, I am new to the site mainly for my pleed for assitance in updating my Halo. I used to have Halo v1.05 but when I found out about the update I tried to update using the manual update, as required by the instructions for users of v1.05. Unfortunetly to my distress, I recieved an erorr message taht read:
"Authenticode check failed. Signature invalid or not trusted. If this error is automatic and not intentional, check Internet Options - Content - Publishers - Untrusted, and see if you are blocking A valid Microsoft certificate. Besure not to un-block the certificates marked as "Fraudulent"."
I followed the on screen instructions for the update patch, but there is no such directory under "Internet Options" that contains Content, then Publishes, then untrusted.
So I thought perhaps this was by fault of the manual update, so I reinstalled Halo on my PC in the same directory, and I ran the patch update, both patches that are available (For v1.00 - v1.04 and v1.05 patch) with no success. I thought to myself, "Forget it, this is too much of a hassle" and found a v1.05 patch instead. I tried to install this patch but now it edoesn't work either. I find this troubling and very odd, especially since it has worked for me in the past. Is there anyone who might've been ableto help me? I've searched all acrross the web, the bungie support, and microsoft support documents with very little help.
