In every medium and large level there is an area neglected by the other players. It sometimes changes depending on who you're playing with. Take Headlong for example. In a Team Snipers game there are only four enemy soldiers, and there are four areas of the map. Because most teams tend to cluster in one or two buildings (typically the two tall ones), that leaves the middle of the map (bad place to be) the warthog spawn mini-building, and the covered ramp leading to the covenant sniper spawn (the one that houses the active camo spawn). Last time I played at Headlong I stayed near the active camo spawn for 80% of the game and only died three times (got 9 kills, I thinkg). At first, I stayed with my team, but then I realised that the enemy was only using a few methods of attack - through the transporter, or up through the tallest, under-construction building (and occasionally the broken bridge area).

In another game I played a couple of weeks ago at the same place, that tactic would have been suicide. The enemy was smart enough to check the active camo spawn frequently, and sometimes sniped from there themselves. However, four people can't be everywhere at once, and in that game they neglected the overturned bus. After that realised that was where I was sniping from, I simply moved to the covenant sniper spawn. If you can figure out where the enemy is attacking from, you'll do much better.

I think if we all figure out where our enemies are attacking from we would all do much better.......state the obvious pal. Which is one of the reasons why moving around the map is always............ALWAYS the way to go in team snipers. I really can't see any tips you gave the OP in your post here........

OMG look!!! You can see Bungie!!!!! O.O

yea, If you have a sniper, chances are, they already know. Even if they dont, assume that they do. And as soon as you shoot, and people see your sniper trail and the "Bob sniped by Joe" text, THEY WILL KNOW. Run. Aim. Shoot. Run. Repeat. And if you're trying to snipe someone while you're in an open area (I seriously hope not) then keep strafing left and right (randomly, of course). Mabye even throw in a few crouches. Never move forwards, backwards, or jump. I find jumping the worst possible evasion tactic in the history of team snipers. This is because you have no control over how long the jump will take (and therefore, you can't randomize it), where you will go after you press a, and most of the time, the enemy snipers can plot out your jumping path and lead their bullet into your path.

Also, if you're against a human sniper rifle, take advantage of the enemy's reloads. Count out how many shots they fired so far. Once it hits 4, pop out of cover and fire! Of course, they might be in cover at this point, so this is also your chance to relocate.

Right, and you also said "sniping n00bs from the ground up." Well, dont. Snipe n00bs from the roof down.

I find it's better to stay on the move.

You're asking people to state which non-released game they like better?

It's like asking a virgin whether they like being on top or on bottom.

Who stands still and snipes? Honestly...

I usually do somethign called teamwork. You don't have to move around the map at all. Just set up a good position with your team. Like on lockout, setup snipe tower, or BR tower. You don't have to move all around the map. Of course, move short distances though, to prevent yourself from getting grenaded. Like, if you have snipe at sniper tower, I usually like to continually move from Shortcut, to Snipe 2, and occasionaly go Snipe 1 and check under glass/BR1.

i agree with most of the posts on here

keep moving after ever snipe

and im not talking about every kill

you shoot
you move

otherwise people are gonna see your trail

and -bink- take your head right off

This unit may wreck, or explode at any moment.

The 7 other guys in rumble snipes the other night that reported me for cheating, cause I went 18 kills, 2 deaths on them. I suck at sniping, but I don't believe these guys ever even saw an xbox before. Thats who stands still.

I don't feel like linking it, but it's helpful. And don't say "n00b", it puts you in that group of less than honorable gamers.

There was a man from Allentown who fed his son to death.
He calmly watched him gorge himself until his final breath.
And there he stood, surprised and shocked above his tiny frame.
He said: "I bear no blame for this. I only share his name!"

REALLY high place, AKA superbounce if you are cheap like that. Have your teammates cover your back while you pick people off from a distance in team games. Keep moving. Never stop moving.

The point of sniping is to be a good marksman. Some tips: Stay at long range of battles, do not fire at vehicles, if you are a beginner use two shots in a row any where on the body, space out your time between firing the Beam Rifle, one of the most important that not many ppl know is After a kill move to a different position.

Bottomline: Technically there is no way not to see where shots from a sniper rifle come from. I would just move my position after each miss or kill.THATS WHAT A GOOD MARKSMAN DOES.

the trick is to crouch while youre in air this will give your opponent less visibility of the head and also by crouching you fall faster than normal making it harder for the opponent to hit you

One thing to try...adjust your look sensitivity in your settings. If you play snipers a lot, maybe you should set your look sensitivity to the speed that works best with snipers.

I used to use a 10 sensitivity for rumble, but it was too quick for me for snipers and I would stink. But I have since lowered it to a 7 and that has worked TONS better.

Having the ideal look sensitivity makes targeting and shooting your opponents MUCH easier.
