I'm graduating in 2 weeks.I was wondering if it's better to upgrade or just get new parts and stuffCurrently, I'm on XP SP2, 3.0GHz processor, 512MB RAM, integrated audio/videoI'd like to upgrade the RAM and video card at least.I was talking with static and he said to get a Core 2 Quad, but when it decreases in price it'll be july/august.. I'll show you what I shown him which I might be interested in processor motherboard RAM to be comptaible with above processorThe RAM I have now is PC3200 (DDR 400)
Even now, the price for the CPU isn't all that outrageous, but it's always better to wait for a better deal. Who knows, you might find something better for a reasonable price by then.
get a C2D E6700 and this ramhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168201440 64or this ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168202311 21and a 8800 GTS [Edited on 05.26.2007 1:14 PM PDT]
I could get two of the last ones. $120+ tax =~ $132 then another one which would be $132 and then total would be $264, save some money, and taxI'm thinking of an 8800, would a GTX be better than GTS or vice versa?

Of course the GTX is better, but it's a bit more expensive.
