when i say new i mean that this has, to the best of my info, never been thought of before.
Also this is NOT another TSHGTBCAS thread, i'm not thrying to 'crack' them but if i'm right the whole skull community will forever be changed.
Rember I Love Bees? (if you don't, look it up or leave.)
What most peopole don't realize is that ILB was a huge publicity stunt that gave people an insider entrence into the Halo 2 multiplayer Test. in the summer of '04 the site of ILB was [advertised] in the Halo 2 theatracle traliers. when people went there they would fine a complex challange involving people finding payphones at GPS points and getting to them at a specific time to awnser them - unlocking the audio files on the website today and giving them an inside pass that would eventually would lead to them playing the Halo 2 multiplayer before it's release. this game of I love Bees is refered to a an Altertinitive Reality Game (ARG)
well what does theis have to do with the skulls?
Just work with me here for a moment.
What is the skulls were the first part of an ARG for Halo 3? what if solving them yould leed to an other ILB so to speak that would get us into some special halo 3 event?
Here's what i think:
ILB was, at it's core an experiment to see if ARGs would work with the bungie fanbase. after seeing that many fans would follow the breadcrumbs they decided to make one for Halo 3, makeing this one more difficult because of the growth in population. ( to keep the number of peopole that solved it relitivly small.) Only we haven't 'cracked the skulls yet. this - i think - is due to the fact that we have not realized that the skulls are part of the Halo3 ARG. it also seems as though Bungie had planned for using ARGs when they designed the halo series, refering to 'the path' and 'the great journey' several times.
It is my belief that if the criptic message in the skulls were to be solved (and soon!) we could "Find the path' .
please comment, critize and agree.
