I thought of this while surfing numerous other forums from other sites. I noticed that some of them play music according to their theme. Such that if bungie were to do this they could play music from the Halo soundtracks on their site. I think it would be cool and add a more enthusiatic atmosphere to bungie. Tell me what you think.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

This has been discussed before and, unfortunately, it was over-ridden by other B.net members. The farest Bungie will go music wise is set up a download section and let us download music from there but music on B.net isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I agree with you 50% percent. The music idea is great but would be better if we had the choice to turn the music off or on.Music might also ruin the atmospehere here a little bit.

Also, you have to remember that Bungie only game isn't just Halo &Halo 2; Marathon, Myth, Oni, etc. are all Bungie games too. We would have to listen to that also because this is Bungie.net. I have to say, some of the older game music would put me to sleep if I listen to it long enough. :P

I think, after Halo 3, Marty should compose some b.net music. We can listen to that but there has to be an off/on option for people who don't like it.

Music on bungie.net wouldn't really fit, in my opinion. Music is usually used on personalized fan and blog sites, rarely on public forums.

I guess that I could always turn down the dial on my speakers if the music irritates me.

Well yea, of course this could be one of those options where if you don't like it then disabel or allow only certain songs to play that you want. Actually I don't know why I, personally, would need this seeingas how I could easily listen to it on itunes, but just throwing the idea out there.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Well I know that you backed off a little from the original idea, but I'll still say that I would not really want music here. In my opinion, music adds little to a website. I usually find myself turning it off immediately.

As you mentioned yourself, there are enough ways to listen to music while you browse sites without having to have it embedded in the site.

Only tacky sites have looping music.
B.net is not tacky. Sticky, gooey, and slimy maybe, but not tacky.
