no
any valve/source/steam games blow ass monkeys
actually any FPS ive played since halo blew ass monkeys
Actually, considering the fact that said games have lower system requirements AND better graphics than Halo, built in anti-cheat, and generally a better community (besides CSS)....

1. Your going to have to get Vista eventually.
2. LIVE is going to be for other games, its a new feature. It will most likly become better and better over time. It also works with xbox LIVE.
3. Its a crappy port. I dont care i need to play halo 2 to see everything in it for myself.
4. It has the map editor. Hopfully it will better than halo 1 pc.
5. If you don't want to pay alot, wait for it to become cheaper.
1. So? Halo 2 still sucks for it.
2. Big deal. It doesn't have to be Live to be cross platform. And Halo 2 isn't cross platform at all.
3. Sucker. You're not missing much.
4. Better as in easier so retards can have at it? "Yayz! I maek a mapz dats a big whole filled with wepuns and stufs. LOLOL!"
5. Halo PC is currently 20$. Halo 2 isn't even half the game Halo PC is, therefore, if Halo 2 Vista is more than 9$, it's a ripoff. End of story.

1. Halo 2 is on Vista because of Live Anywhere. It's Vista only AFAIK. It's not a grand scheme to make people buy Vista just to play ONE game. Anyone who does that is sad.
2. Live is better than Xfire, IMO, except for the fact that it only allows 100 friends.
3. I agree with the "huh?".
4. How do you have to pay for anything other than the game to use the map editor? :/
5. It will be cheaper, and I am happy to pay the $40 that I payed for it, seeing as it is an excellent game even if you only play the SP portion.
1. Why couldn't Microsoft add Live Anywhere to XP? Oh yeah, that's right.... $$$
2. Then how is it better? Looks the same tbh.
3. Not gonna bother.
4. As far as I know, you are correct, sir.
5. Halo 2 IS an excellent game... for people that like noobery.

"Live Anywhere" is a great idea, finally being able to connect Xbox and PC is what a lot of gamers have been hoping for, for a while now. It's about time its been done. However, I really don't think that Live anywhere on Halo 2 Vista justifies a $50 price tag - It's just not worth it. Everything that they want to make us pay for has already been done in other games for free. Now for other games, where you're actually going to be able to utilize all of the features.
The map editor really isn't a big deal... Games have now been shipping with map editors for a long time, it's nothing new like Microsoft is promoting it is.
If Xbox Live wasn't so exclusive, there wouldn't be any problem with cross platform gaming. Once again, I turn to Final Fantasy XI as an example. PS2 and PC cross-platform gaming before the 360 was even announced. Had Xbox Live been more malleable like PS2's online play, cross-platform gaming would be all over the place.

halo 2 on vista is A real piece of crap. Halo2 on xbox is good.
Actually, hate to burst your noobish bubble, but...

And i prefer Halo 2 to CS. CS just got boring, the same old, buy weapons &armor, shoot people, wait 2 minutes for round to end. The spraying and crazy headshots got really annoying in CS, not to mention that CS doesn't have vehicles.
I prefer CS to Halo 2. Halo 2 just got boring, the same old, run for the noob combos/sword, make headshots that missed by 5 feet, BXB and BXR like crazy, hear 7 year olds -blam!- and talk -blam!- for 30 minutes until the game ends. The noobs that can't aim worth a crap and still won got really annoying too, not to mention that Halo 2 has too many vehicle noobs.
