I bought Halo 2 Vista at Circuit City but now it says my PC isn't compatible. Although, it really is. I have 1GB RAM with P4 3.2GHZ CPU, 128MB gfx RAM running Vista Ultimate. Is there anyway to bypass the compatibility check with a command line switch or something?

what's your graphics card? It doesn't matter how much VRAM you have on your card.

It's an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP. Unfortunately I can't upgrade it, being a laptop with an IGP card.

What it is.

It's not compatible with your GFX card...that crap is old and slow...I'd suggest getting a comp with a gfx card that can actually run this game.

- Note, that's split up so that it's allowed :)

Yeah, an integrated card REALLY won't work. I have a laptop with a dedicated X300 and the game still sucks wind. So, yeah, really the only option is to buy a new computer, not the greatest news in the world, I know, a $50 dollar game just now made into a $1500 dollar game. Sorry :(

here is what I would do, get a Desktop, they're better for gaming, but Laptops are good for moving about.

Yeah, I can't afford a new PC at the moment.

It works for what I need it for. I don't usually game on my PC. I am more of a console gamer. Anyway, thanks for everyones help. I'll stick to Halo 2 on my 360.

You failed to mention your graphics card, which later turned out to suck ass. Sorry, dude, you won't be able to play it.

Sorry Op but unless you bought a gaming rig laptop (Alienware or something like it) you are SOL. good news for under 1000 you can build a decent comp that can run it.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Buy a video card. It's not that hard.
