Ok so yesterday I picked up Halo 2 for Vista and downloaded it to my laptop but it wouldn't let me play it. It said because my graphic card isn't good enough. Ok so my laptop is like a business computer..I got it for a good price, that's why I got that kind. Anyway, I am able to play other computer games and everything...so what is wrong???! I really want to play this!! I'm going to have to take it back though because it won't work... : ( Please is there anyway I can play this game on my laptop without having to buy a $100-200 ATI graphic card??

By the way my laptop is a 640m Inspiron from Dell

Thanks,
Morgan

Halo 2 Vista is a REALLY hard game to run. So it sounds like you will have to take it back.

Also you can't really "upgrade" a laptop graphics card.

Well, it's not exactly, 'rare' per se. It's just more of a pain in the ass because you have to remove the backplate on the Laptop in some brands (like my Dell), and then you have to unseat the MXM from the heatpipe (heatsink) and etc...

Well I bought a new GFX card awhile ago and it ran fine on that until I bought my new 20" Dell monitor. Can't run the game at 1680x1050 which is ok cause its hard to snipe at that size lol.I say youll have to get a new card.
