This is like watching The Terminal with Tom Hanks.

That tells me nothing. 19200x1200 Res @ High Settings will cost you an 8800 GTS at least.

I doubt even SLI 8800 Ultras can pull off high @ 19200x1200

I bet I can get 720i at high with my 7600gt (the $180 one, not the cheap $130-$150).

By MeArbiter: What about Ge-Force 8800?

Which 8800? The GTS 320 MB, the GTS 640 MB, the GTX, or the Ultra?

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

When the Bungie started testing H2V and running it high res, I don't think the 8800 was around yet. I think the card they used was the 7950, probably the GX2. That was the most powerful at the time.

Vista Ultimate is good, running itnow, its flawless, runs better than XP Pro imo. Except with the crappy NVIDIA drivers. And as for high settings, i can run Halo 2 at 1280-1024 at high detail with 4xAA at an average of 30fps, 2xAA for 40+fps. But i keep it at default which is 1024-768 at high detail with (i think) 2xAA or 4xAA

EDIT: Oh forgot to mention I'm running a 7600GT, so anything higher than that can run Halo 2 flawlessly

How long have you been using a computer for. Sorry for aking, it's just you don't seem to know much. NVIDIA has released a few drivers for the 8800 series GPU's. But they don't seem to care about the rest of us who are still using 7x00 series, so anyone on a 7x00 series GPU are left with old buggy drivers.

OK, let me sum it up for you. If you want all the best graphics, highest resolution and max AA and AF get either an 8800GTS 320MB version or 640MB version. For even better performance get an 8800GTX 768MB version, but they cost like $800+, well they do here in Australia at-least. As for changing drivers, if your got an 7x00 series graphics card than yes, they can be changed, but you have to wait until NVIDIA releases a later update, and since they are focusing to much on the 8x00 series GPU's that could be a very long time.

This is the most pathetically lazy forum post I have ever seen. Its ok to ask for an opinion but you need to do a little research for yourself before you go off shooting a bunch of questions.
