Subject: Filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau--Re: New Maps

I filed a complaint to the BBB requesting my $4 back as they are forcing players to buy additional products to an already purchased product . The complaint has been validated by the BBB and I am awaiting a response from Microsoft. This isn't about the $4 bucks, but more on the basis if they can do this now, when you buy video games in the future they will continue to force you to buy additional things when you have already paid for the game. I will keep you updated.

No one is forcing you to buy the new maps. If you cannot afford the $4, then don't buy them. Yes, you paid for the game. You paid for everything on the disk, all the campaign, and all the original maps. You did not pay for the two new maps. That is why you must pay for them. And I think that they are becoming free next month anyway?

I paid for a game that clearly stated on the packaging that "multiplayer included". it does not differentiate nor state that certain gaming types (i.e. slayer, snipers etc) would cost more . When I purchased the game , i was instructed to download the free updates in order to continue playing. However, the April 2007 update prevented me from playing an already included gametype (snipers). To clarify , the BBB has already accepted my complaint as valid and expects Microsoft DBA Bungie Studios to refund my money. They have until June 14th.

Havent we beat this subject over the head , violated it, foundled it, and forgot it already. No one especially not bungie forced you to by the new maps. If you buy a new car and 2 years after you bought it they come out with a new option for that car should you get it for free??????? I think not, this is commerce and some day when you grow up and become a big boy or <girl?> you will understand this. So please quit crying and flooding the forums with nonsense, Im sure the BBB will call ya back and tell ya your SOL <shit out of luck>.

IWANNAPLAYHALO3: Wrong. Please read my second post. When Halo 3 comes out, you will pay $59 for it, then you don't mind paying another $5 for an update 3 months later? then again 3 months later? That is the point. It would been one thing IF, SEE IF, if you could continue playing without downloading the new maps. That was not the case. The game CLEARLY stated if I wanted to play Snipers, i would HAVE TO download the new maps. So yes, they FORCED me.

seriously how old r u? and do u cause problems just for the sake of problems everywhere u go? 4 $ is nothing.... think about it.... so far if u waited enuf for the previous map packs...then bungie has only asked u to pay an additional $4 to play online, and it will probably be free eventually anyway so really they will not have forced u to do so anyway...sure BBB may have said its viable or w/e but truth is bungie and xbox live could say um no and take it all to court if they wanted to and proved it their way in the end anyway ........... i would like to congratulate you on being an @$$

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

Good to know. Whether or not you get your refund in not my concern. What I am concerned with is this blog/repeat topic. We don't allow those on the forums.

But, I also have an easy fix for this thread.
