Any one complaining that Halo 2 is bull§it will hear my wrath.
If you are complaining that Halo 2 was not like the New Mombassa level in the E3 demo let me tell you why. The demo for E3 was to show E3 and the rest of the world what to expect from Halo 2, not exactly what Halo 2 would be like. The E3 demo shows the new things that you can do, dual wielding, vehicle boarding, playing with swords, and probably more that I missed.
You want to complain some more? I'll prove you wrong.

All i know, is that the ppl who say halo 2 pwns halo 1 are just saying it to make themselves feel better... that or they are retards. Bungie and MS created too much hype. And wts worse is that they didnt live up to it.

Halo 2 requires infinitely less skill to play than Halo 1. This game is going to die in 6 months. It's no longer satisfying to kill someone because they don't stand a chance when they spawn with an SMG. Yes, it's a good game, but it's nothing compared to Halo 1.

And the truth is what exactly? Everything on Halo 2 is just as I wanted it to be. I prefer it to the original and I'm glad to be the owner of one of the best FPS games I've ever played.

So stop being such an ignorant, simple minded little tosh. Stop throwing around your screwed up opinions like they are fact and better than ours.

I think there was a that the game had a lot more potential, but for some reason, Bungie did not make it happen :/

ok i think we were looking forward to this game tooo much that we forgot about the fun in we. We had to find every single glitch and something wrong with the game, some are very noticable, then people go and find em themselfs and it bothers us and we cant play the game without getting dissapointed. If we just sit down forget about all the glitches and contols and just play the game, i bet u ur reviews about this game will rise... this gave is incredible u have see that behind all those glitches, lol

I got the game I wanted, to answer the title. I can't make a game, I can't write a story for a game, but I can play the ever lovin -blam!- out of a game. And that's what I'm doing with this game. I had the time to read the forums before I actually found out there wasn't too much earth missions. Fine with me, and to tell you the truth, everyone's -blam!-in prepared me for what to expect in the game making my Campaign game that much more pleasurable, add in the 3 novels and the original Halo, thanks very much for a much better experience than the first. I am additionally looking forward to the first series of video games that are a trilogy, playing all three immersive games to complete the story...ya...I like that idea. Star Wars, eat your heart out!

I've finally figured it out everyone... an answer to the question (no not what the matrix is ). wow that was corny... back to the topic at hand. all of you who have gone back to XBC halo 1 are maddeningly dissapointed with halo 2... dont worry i understand, its because halo 2 is not just a port of halo 1 with a different story. ITS A DIFFERENT GAME its new, its better, it has more style, it involves more skill and, IT HAS CHANGED omg people just cause you did soooo good in halo 1 doesnt mean you cant move on to a new game that is better and learn how to play it... "omg wheres my whore pistol??" uhh pick up a battle rifle and learn how to use it.... in conclusion just because you suck at halo 2, doesnt mean its a bad game.

Thank you NavyGhost! If you miss the pistol from Halo so much try using dual pistols in Halo 2, see how quickly you tear through someone. Bungie did not create any, or very little hype. What created hype was the magazines, the tiny pieces of info that found thier homes at the Bungie forums, you get the point. We made the hype of what Halo 2 was supposed to be.
Haters say they think there is no skill in Halo 2. Try playing single player on Legendary, when you beat that I will listen to your b!tching. Haters say that the pistol from Halo is a weapon that requires "skill". When you first picked up the pistol how quickly were you able to snipe people in Blood Gulch? Just look at the facts, and see what Haters are basing their arguments on.
Haters say there is no skill required in Halo 2, they miss the pistol, Halo 2 does not have the Halo feeling, dual wielding is -blam!-, campaign is horrible and copied from Halo, and many many more things that Haters have said.
I am tired of writting so respond to this, or as Trinity from the Matrix says "Dodge this!"

Nov. 9 was the saddest day for competitive gaming. Thanks to Halo "noobfest" 2, Halo 1 is now dead even on XBC.

It's terrible that Bungie had to nerf the skill involved in order to up the teamwork -- they could have easily improved both. Tell me where I can improve my SMG skills, or my sword lunging, or my rocket homing. Tell me where I DON'T have to aim to get a headshot with the new sniper rifle. I give you ten pointers about the Halo 1 pistol (or sniper or rocket or plasma rifle) if you can give me just one about the aforementioned weapons. Yeah, that explains why a rampage on H2 is no more exciting than me scratching my ass.

Halo 2 is just an average multiplayer experience for the average gamer.

Too bad Halo 1 doesn't have Live support. Damn you, M$, for having Bungie make a game to cater to your XB Live. Halo 1 is the reason why your Xbox exists today. If Halo 2 dies, and it will, so will your system.

Hey Bungie, do it right next time.

::Waits for Halo 3 and XB2::

I got the game I wanted yeah, although I was just a little bit underwhelmed.

It's my fault entirely because i've been so hyped about Halo 2 but there was just one thing that disapointed. Mainly there were so few outside sections to the game and that made the game feel more claustrophobic.

But other than that it was (And is!) a stunning game. Well done Bungie!

I thinkeveryone will agree when I say that we all were a little disappointed at Halo 2, but that is no reason to disown it, its still a great game. I do wish there were more levels on Earth and if it was a little longer.

I feel completely let down, Halo 1 was fantastic, but Halo 2 is mediocre, the graphics are great i agree, but its nowhere near as good as the original game, i completed it in 12 hours which amazed me as Halo 1 still takes ages to play, its as though they couldnt fit the whole game onto the disc so they just cut the rest of the game off, Also there are so many bugs its unreal, enemies and allies alike, they all can get stuck next to rocks or vehicles and just keep walking but going nowhere, grenades can explode without any sound, or just not explode atall, this game isnt upto the usual Bungie standard, Microsoft should have kept there noses out and let Bungie make Halo 2 what it SHOULD have been

you say dual smg owns and what not. but then you go back to the pistol in halo 1, its the same thing. its easy to take out any weapon if you know how. And Halo 2 is exactlly what i was expecting.

You guys really should do a bit more enjoying instead of sterotyping. I loved playing as the arbiter it lent whole new demesions to the halo universe. That kind of fleshing out of the story and universe is what I like most about all games that Bungie has made. Also if your wondering why Bungie mentioned basically nothing but earth in press releases, SURPRISE! Hello! I know I am not the only one intelligent enough to realize that they were trying to surprise us with playing as a covenant worrior. Of course all they are going to mention is earth, look how well it worked. They certainly caught you unaware. Unfortunately you were too busy thinking about what you wanted it to be to enjoy what it is. Also a good adage to think about is never judge a book by its cover. Don't think about what you want the game to be before playing it. Simply let Bungie tell the story that have laid out for you and enjoy it.

I think everybody needs to take a chill pill..

Halo 2 is a great game...but....there are some VERY good points on whether our expectations were slightly fuzzed by some of the pre-release trailers. I, as many others, would have preffered alot more earth action and we were led to believe that this would be the case. However, one question I have for these gamers who are picking this as a major point, is whether any of them have seen the E3 2000 demo of Halo 1? The same discrepencies are true in this. The spectre is in the E3 demo, not in the game, MC can weild an energy sword, not in the game. In fact, the E3 2000 trailer for Halo is just as misleading for Halo 1, as the E3 2002 is for Halo 2!

One last question - Does anybody notice the split screen shot in the rolling demo at the Halo 2 start screen, showing the players shooting at a helicopter? Anyone see this in the game??

The truth is that you had to expect that with the type of following that Halo 2 had, the inconsistencies were going to be obvious. I just wish that Bungie would have come forward with the truth about expanding Halo 2 into a third installment. I also believe that by selling out to Microsoft they have damaged their reputation considerably. This is NOT the game that was advertised in the trailers for the last few years. Halo 2 is a neat game but does not live up to the hype that has been generated. There was a time that Bungie was known for making great games. Now they are known for trying to capitalize on its fan base at the expense of giving them what they deserved. How unfortunate!
