**Spoiler Alert**
There are campaign spoilers in here if you haven't played through the campaign yet.

OK I'm done. Playing through it I was most interested in just getting throught it. After waiting two years I though I would savor it, but I just wanted it to be over which surprised me. Playing the Arbitor was different but I could wait to get back to the Chief. I didn't use the stealth enough kept forgetting it was there. So when I go for Heroic I will be sure to use it to its fullest. I stopped playing for about two days when I got to the Sacred relic level. I thought I was going to have to trudge through the damn Library with Flood popping out every 20 feet to get to that overblown stick. God I hate fighting the Flood, never fails to tense me up.

The maps and scenery were new and original which was good. They didn't have you backtrack thru the same maps like in the original. Some of the views were beautiful and I will be sure to take my time the second time thru to drink in the environment. One thing they did well was the Flood fog. There was one stretch of interconnected corriodors which only had two small groups of Flood in. I probably could have run battled thru in about a minute. It took me ten minutes to creep through it! When I get into the mood of a game I get into it.

The story was a little hard to follow, I'm actually going to get on HBO and go through the cut scenes again so I can try to get a better grasp of it. Gravemind introduced a bunch of questions that should be answered in Halo3. I think I got an idea of where they are going but eagarly await the conclusion.

Speaking of conclusions, what was so damn awful about that ending. That ending server several purposes:

1) Wrapped up the Halo 2 game with an ending of the heroes preventing the descruction of the universe.
2) Answered the questioned "Where'd the Forerunners go?"
3) Opened up questions to be answered about this Gravemind fellow and how he fits into everything.
4) Sets up the story in Halo 3(confirming there will be a Halo3) of the lunatic prophet trying to set off the remaining Halos with the Ark.

I mean what better ending to the game then preventing the annilation of everything in the universe. A few things I didn't like about that was the inclusion of a boss battle. Ever since speeding through the MAW two years ago I never want to see another boss battle again. Also it bugged me a little that the Chief wasn't responsible for saving the universe.
The whole Gravemind thing introduced a new angle to the storyline. it is a good bet it is the conscienceness behind the Flood, but beyond that I can't tell where they are going to take it. I've seen a lot of theories that suggest Cortana is under Gravemind's control but I don't see where they are getting that. The ending makes it look like they are sitting down to chat over tea and crumpets.

And I don't know about you guys but when I heard the Chief say "I'm going to finish this fight.", the concussive force from all the goosebumps in my skin erupting at once, knocked over a lamp in my room.

The whole thing is going to be wrapped up on Sept 25th and I'm not sure how I'm going to avoid spoiling the story before I get to play the game on PC. I may have to leave these forums to prevent that. Let it be known to all who know me, DO NOT give me one iota of info about the campaign when HALO 3 comes out. I will be extremely pissed if any surprises get ruined for me.

It would only take minutes to find a synopsis of the Halo 2 story.

And dude, are you serious? How can a cliffhanger ending confirm Halo 3? Are you sure they'll actually follow through and let master chief finish the fight? And on that note, I'm pretty sure goosebumps on your skin don't have the "concussive force" to knock over a lamp in your room. And lastly, don't half ass it. When you play through again, do it on legendary. It's really not that hard.

Legendary is boring to me. I spend most of my time on legendary hiding behind something to get my shield back because one plasma rifle shot hit me, and everytime I die, I end up back where I was half an hour earlier. If there were more checkpoints and the enemies didn't do insane amounts of damage, it would be more fun. Geez, why didn't Bungie just make it so you don't even have a shield on legendary? It wouldn't be much different.

legendary on halo 1 takes skill, legendary on halo 2 is just trying the same scenes over and over and over and over and over again until you get lucky.

If you honestly believe that Bungie would let there flagship game, which has sales in the hundreds of millions, end like that, you are truly foolish. But since you believe that I could knock over a lamp in my room with goosebumps, I guess you might be.

I don't have the patience to play through any game on legendary. You battle mobs of enemies who are accurate with overpowered weaponry, while praying for a decent weapon drops, health packs and ammo. I got better things to do with my time.

The halo 2 story requires a little bit more following as it switches between characters. And most people are to stupid to care about the arbiter because they're snot nosed kids who pray to get at least a D on their report card. They can't follow a story from that of the covenant because unlike chiefs story, it doesn't have to do with blowing -blam!- up every second. The H2 story, for those who can follow it and appreciate a GOOD ending *thats right, I said good ending!* find the story fantastic like myself. Far superior to Halo 1's.

Halo 1, lets take a look.
They go to Halo, an interesting concept *even though it was from a book.* They crash, and chief is the only one who lives *who could have predicted that?* Then they go save the captain, then discover halo is a weapon *who could have guessed*. After that they find a map room, then go to the control center. Cortana sends chief to save the captain where he discovers the flood, and guilty spark. Then, he goes to the library, which was the stupidest game level in HISTORY! He gets the index, and goes to start halo, cortana stops him. Then they go deactivate the firing stations and go get the captains neural implants *for some reason, the captain is in a covenant ship rather than where he was infected.* Then they go to the POA, and blow up the ship. The game ends with a bang.

The story line is good, but a lot of things are predictable. Still, it has an amazing story for almost any game.

Halo 2 starts out at earth, where the covenant begin an invasion. However, it's with a small fleet, it leads you to question, a small detail but with importance. They also didn't expect humans to be there. Chief saves Ciro and goes down to earth to take down the prophet. However, ends up killing a scarab instead. It represents the fact that you sometimes need to work around your objective, and that there are other things going on in the agme world other than what the player is doing. Then, they follow regret. The arbiter on the other hand just got back from the torture chamber. However, the prophets know he's useful, and make him the arbiter, sending him to take out heretics. The heretics give you the feeling that the knowledge of what Halo is just might come to the covenant, might. Then chief discovers another halo, predictable, but still I think better executed than the original. They land in drop pods, and take out regret. Chief gets captured by the grave mind. The Abiter proceeds to the library after getting the oracle from the heretic. He gets the index, but it's taken by the brutes. Tarterus attempts to kill him then. The gravemind sends both of them off to stop Halo. Chief gets to truth, and is now on the ship. Arbiter is sent near the Control room to stop tarterus. He reunites with the elite resistance and crushes the brutes in the area and gets the index. He then figures out that all Halo's are on standby from the ark, which in on earth. Chief now has to stop truth from activating the ark.

The story is more polished and epic from that of the first. It has more details and hints. They're both good, Halo 2 just is more polished and better executed. Designed for those of us who can follow a story rather than kill everything in site.

Sorry to say this, but are you stupid? Do you know who Iggwilv is? He was talking about Halo 2. If you look at the top of the page, you will see that that is alowed here. In the halo 3 forum, you talk about halo 3. Just because his post has the word "halo 3" in it, it dosen't meen that it is talking about Halo 3.

I'm acctualy considering leaving this forum. All these "new peopel" (to be polite) coming on here and not just typeing stupid comments, but directing them at the most respected people in the forums as if they where just some random people they saw on the street. It makes me sick.

I think he may have been taking a swipe at the guy who thought is was rediculous to assume that the ending of Halo2 meant there would be a Halo3.

Oh, sorry. He did a prety bad job of showing that. Ususaly, when you make a post that is not obviously directed at one post in perticular, it meens that it is directed at the original post.

Besides, that is still something that could be disscused here, since it is more about the Halo 2 ending then about Halo 3.

Interesting... Since health packs are non exsistent in Halo2.

Thank you Kim, and it is fine Cheesemaster, I should have made it more pronounced as to who I was talking to, which as Iggwilv said was the guy saying that it didn't mean that there would be a sequel to Halo 2. And just so no one will make it out to be that I was disrespecting, one of the most respectable people here, I would never say anything to demean anyone that had made a name for them self.
p.s. I wasn't quick enough on the stupid submit button.
