I was playing the Halo 3 beta and enjoying my Save Film Feature. When I decided to reminisce on the past and look at my Halo 2 Collectors DVD. While watching the multiplayer featurette, I see a different sort of menu after they stop talking about armor customization, the Menu looks a bit different from the current Halo 2 Menu, and on that menu said "Campaign, Xbox Live, Split Screen, System Link, Options, SAVED FILMS". For confirmation look through your Halo 2 DVD or if you don't have one, the Multiplayer Featurette is on a popular video site, (Find out for yourself), and the menu plays at 4:20.

So Bungie, why were saved films nerfed?

Just as a general fyi, the term nerfed generally means "made less dangerous." It's usually applied to the effectiveness of weapons (ie: a Nerf brand Rocket Launcher would fire foam rockets).

I'm guessing it just didn't work right or adversely affected other parts of the game so it was removed or never implemented.
