Hi, I'm level 11 in snipers, used to be level 20, but you know, the stupid thing that happened weeks ago...
The point is that when I'm playing team snipers (the only thing I play) I get booted, can be at half gameplay, or almost at the end, but I never have betrayed anyone! I mean, why do I'm getting booted if I'm betraying nobody? How come?
How are they do that? If I don't betray they can´t boot me, but is happening!
I need some help please!

I think I know how this is:

1.) You and other teammate are killing an opponent, you throw a grenade and hurt your teammate, then another opponent comes and kills him, as you inflicted more than a half (you left him without shield) of dammage, if the opponent kills him the system will give the kill to the person who inflicted the most damage, that's why I got booted, I didn't killed him, but I accidentally inflicted him the major part of damage and gave me the kill.
Well. that's my theory, am I right?

Well think again, my friend.

Generally speaking, if you truly and honestly didn't betray anyone, you won't get booted. There's a few cases where the game gets confused and boots the wrong person, or someone gets the option to boot you when no one betrayed anyone. It's happened to me before, and it's probably happened several times to most of the people here. Does it suck? Oh yeah. Especially when you're in 1st place by 30 kills and still end up losing because you get booted.

I can guarantee you, however, that the reason why you got booted was because you did, in fact, betray someone. Maybe not intentionally or even directly, but you may have assisted in your teammate's death and they thought that you killed them, so you got booted. If you shoot your teammate even once, or hurt him with a grenade at all, that person may get the option to boot you later on in the game. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's just how Halo rolls.

Exactly right. Or it could be that you have betrayed somebody in a previous game before. That for some reason it boots you sometimes then sir.

Yeah, I joined a custom game and the party leader challenged me to a 1v1, and I was whipping this kid, all of a sudden, it says that I have been booted.

There's been times where my friend, who betrays a lot over the course of games to piss people off, will have a completely clean game, but might happen to damage me a little. when I die, even by someone on the other team, it gives me the option to boot him. So if you have betrayed a lot in past games then that's probably why, if not, dunno what else it could be.

Happens to me all the time, though I did recently get booted because my guest put a tripmine in a mancannon that hit our party leader's warthog. It was hilarious, we were booted and they lost. Apart from that we're always booted unfairly.

A big part to success in Halo 3 or and Halo game is not getting frustrated when you feel you've been killed unjustly. Stay solid, and realize that its easier for you to come back when the other guys cant control their anger and frustration. Its hard to aim when your an emotional wreck :)

Its happened to me once or twice, but Im sure theres a good reason. Could you tell me whens the last time you can honestly say this happened?

This is a RETICULE, and that is a RETICLE. I'm using the latter to aim. And what are you using?

You don't actually have to betray a teammate to get booted for betraying. It's already enough if you occasionally damage a teammate and he gets killed a few seconds later. Also, sometimes the game doesn't announce a betrayal even though it was one. Best example is if you throw a grenade at a teammate fighting an opponent close range, your teammate kills that guy, and you grenade kills your teammate. Quite often the game will tell you that the opponent killed your teammate post mortem and award that kill to the other team, but internally the game counts it as a betrayal.

I actually had a game that I didn't shoot at all, hadn't betrayed anybody for many many games, and was just walking along behind a building, then -blam!- booted.

Wish that it woudl say "You were booted because.... You were booted by ....."
Give some kind of explanation.

I didn't betrayed anyone, I know I didn't. If I'm blue, I kill only red ones. If I'm red, I kill blue ones. Lol.
But this is happening WHEN I'm killing an enemy, or when I'm about to kill him.
