I was just wondering if it matterd what kind of vista version you are using to hook up a wired 360 controler(basic home edition, Buissness edition, Premium edition) for vista games such as Shadow run or Halo 2 for pc. I havent tried using it yet casue I dont want it to mess up anything. and if it does will it reconise it right away or do i need to install drivers or software for it first?

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

I use the wired 360 controller and headset for Shadowrun and H2V on Vista Ultimate, and it just installed the drivers for them when I plugged them in the first time.

Why the hell would hooking up a controller mess up something, any version of Vista works, don't take my word on this but I don't think you need any drivers, just plug it in the USB port and windows should recognize it.

I plugged mine into my laptop and it picked it up right away. No installing of anything and the controller had not been plugged in previous to Halo 2.
