Ok, I signed in to windows live, and tried getting in to some games. there were a bunch of little servers here and there that were spread out.

But there was a key feature missing at the main menu for Windows Live: The "matchmaking" option. I couldn't get in to matchmaking. this is absurd! why couldn't I? I bought a gold subscription now I can't I get in? Why isn't there an option for it?

help? thanks.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Why are you asking questions that were previously asked and answered many times?

Q: How will online play work if XboxLive is no longer the system that Halo 2 Vista will use?
A: Bungie is implementing a new system called Live Anywhere, which is, a service similar to Xbox Live and will bring matchmaking to H2V players. It is stated that we will be able to do all the things we could do before; system links for local connections, global online play, and dedicated servers. Bungie has stated that there will be no ranking or player stat tracking systems for Halo 2 Vista, nor will it offer clan support.

So, where is it?

It's called matchmaking, dumbass. Look who's the moron now.

I'm afraid blank98 is correct, however. There is no matchmaking for Halo 2 Vista. Sorry.

Join a Dedicated Live-Gold server. The playlists are identical to the official bungie Matchmaking playlists.

For what, Windows Vista? Just to play Halo 2?

No offense, bro, but if you bought a new operating system just to play a three-year-old console port and not for the fact that it's a better operating system, then I guess you had it coming.

I can't believe so much people bought Vista, JUST TO PLAY A 3 YEAR OLD GAME. Vista is worth it as it is, not for some crappy port made by unknown studios, that obviously does not know how PC games work/are played.
