Meh.
Titles, schmitles.
Creating real and useful contributions to this site and this community is a reward in and of itself. Striving individual matters toward selfless goals is far more admirable than a title. Respect via actions is better than admiration via a different title and/or different colored text.
The point of this board is to learn about and to interact with the various nuances of this community. Being that its based on Bungie's games, that's the paramount thing on which we can all elaborate, but there is still more to it than that. Plenty of users are respected because of the posts they have consistently made. The only people who regard those of us with fancy titles and all that are new people, and that's only because we look so different than everyone else. If we deserve any respect whatsoever, it should be because we have proven ourselves to be good contributors to this community. Everything else is just superfluous. Everyone should be respected, but only those who have shown their worth should be admired. That's totally subjective though. Being that its one of your only real freedoms, I would never tell you whom you should admire, and who you should not. Its your choice to make, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Now that my compulsory rant is out of the way, I'll try to answer your question.
You may get a "special" title if you accomplish something that the web team can even notice. Such as creating a theme for the private chapters on this site. We don't have a themebuilder yet, so it looks like you'll all still have to wait for that. Other than that method, you could be chosen to become one of the bungie.net staff. Most of them are Forum Moderators, or some variant of that. And, to give you a bit of advice, don't even bother to ask how you do that. This is all you really have to know about that.
Other than that, you would have to be hired by Bungie themselves, and then be allowed to post on the forums. Which is possible, but that's not really my department, so I'll leave it at that.
So, to summarize, "special" titles are nice, but they're not needed if you really get what this site is all about. Just have fun being a good member. Never take your eyes off of that.
