Subject: NOTICE: Very Important... Some of you will remember this.

Veteran member of The Frozen Minority.

I've posted a thread some time ago back in my "jeffmcrae" logo days, and I said that I would keep posting a thread about this idear several times here and there.
I know a lot of people enjoy ruining things for others, such as books (fastmatt, lol just joking), and now that Halo 2 is just around the bend, I want people to get this clear. Some people will have the game before others obviously (I'm the first person on the list at EB Games, oh ya!), and that means people would have beaten the game 2, 3, heck maybe 10 times before others. And just like the books, I know there will be some ignorant arse's around here that'll make a thread that would have a Subject that could, and would totally ruin the plot of the game for others. So please, please, please people be ever soo kind to either not make threads about the game, or if you absolutely have to, put something like "Halo 2 *SPOILER*" as the Subject. Even if it's something as small as a new weapon of anysort, put *SPOILER* in the Subject, so at least if someone would happen to read it and get mad about it ruining the game, it would be their fault because it warned them. I don't know about you guys, and gals, but I would KILL if I came on here during a "break" from the game and saw a Subject thread that ruined anything of the game in anyway!
Now a good way to avoid getting the game ruined is by not coming on here before you beat the game, but c'mon people, we can't sit in a room for 24 hours straight just playing the game, or can we? Hmm. Anyhoo, I want people to really take much thought into this thread and please give others the respect they need by not ruining the game! I said it before, and by golly I'll say it again; I will be posting more threads like this in the future, because I really feel strongly about this! I'll actually probably get quite annoying with posts like this probably starting about 2 weeks before the release of the game, so be prepared to see me post warnings like this everyday.
Thanks a million, and everyone who read my thread about this before about this you guys know I'm strong about this. I'll be doing my part to save the game others.

thats an awesome point. At IGN if you don't say spoiler in the topic and there are spoilers, then you get punished or some thing. I've only been over there once though.

very good point, I agree completely, and i was JUST going through the forums, and read a 'mid-point in the game' spoiler. I'm sure most of you understand when I say: 'that just ruined my day', so I will support you all the way with these 'notices', and as others have said, I'm staying away from the message boards when Halo 2 finally comes out! thanks!

I have the perfect solution:
A bit before the release of Halo 2 (I know that may be far away yet), Bungie puts a sticky post in every forum that yells out not to not say anything about the Halo 2 content here.
If someone does post something that may ruin the Halo 2 experience, he gets banned immediately until Halo 2 is a classic ( lol ! ). Period.
And everybody gets to select an option wether or not he wants to be able to receive personal messages that involve possible spoilers. Anybody who sends anybody who has opted for not to receive such personal messages, gets banned too.
Possible aid could be that you have to select something if you send a possible spoiler (and get punished if you ignore this), so that you don't accidently send spoilers to people who don't want to reveive them.

It might require some time for the web team to arrange this (I don't even know wether or not this forums have got some kind of personal messaging), but then again, it would permit much people to enjoy Halo 2 at its fullest and the halo 2 release date is far, far away (yet).

I really hope the web teeam listens to this. (oh and I have 8829 characters left !?! lol)

But see that would make Bungie get alot of complaints if we couldn't actually talk about Halo 2 in a Halo forum. That takes the whole point away. But I do agree that who ever makes a post about Halo 2 needs to put a spoiler warning on it.

For me thought it's the exact oppostie, I want all the Halo 2 info I can get. And by the way for all you people, Bungie obviously will not release any major plot points to the public, so there really isn't much of a worry. If you do read anything about the plot though in these forums before Halo 2 release, than it is probably entirely not true.

I guess that won't apply to us PAL gamers, me, Rat, goweb, GoldenElite etc, unless the game is release out here around the same time, but you can count on me to warn you if my posts contain anything.... exposing Halo 2 in an unwanted manner.

Yeah! I don't want someone with an Action Replay to tell me what happens in the end, who dies, and who lives. In fact, if they do post anything about it in anywhere other than there own, private chapter, there house should be raided, there mothers smacked, and there Xbox stolen.

P.s.-All there games should be stolen, there houses quarantines, and there houses nuked...with the exception of there mothers being smacked, now THAT was a bit extreme. Yall with me?

A special forum where spoilers are allowed would also be a good solution.
anyway I think the *SPOILER*-sign wouldn't be enough... people would forget it IMO
oh and I'm quite shure I won't be on these forums too while waiting for halo 2 to be released in europe... and while being busy with the game (but then I won't even think about leaving my xbox for browsing these forums)

People come here to discuss the game. Dont restrict them about posting things like this. Stay off the boards if you don't want to be "spoiled". Stop whining.

If i have halo 2, and i am not done with the single player, i would not be on web boards, I would be playing the game 24/7.
