The one who struggles against death is far stronger than the one who simply has no fear of it.

What is Reclaimer, and what do they look like?

Chillin' without a crush

Reclaimer is a generic term that the monitors of Forerunner installations use. It is used to identify the person who's job it is to activate the Halo's firing mechanism and stop the flood.

Apparently it doesn't matter what species they are, since the master chief is called one, and another one is referenced by 343 guilty spark in Halo:CE's campaign. The other reclaimer was apparently the one who activated the Halo system the previous time (something like 100,000 years before humanity ever got off planet earth).

The monitors are automated systems, and simply refer to whomever is working to activate Halo as "The Reclaimer."

Well towards the end of Halo 2 ,during the fight with Tartarus to be mosre specific, 343 Guilty spark kept referencing Miranda and Johnson as Reclaimers, but not anyone else, in fact Guilty Gear specifically said to the Arbiter earlier, "Why do you meddlers insist on using such inaccurate verbiage?" And I assumed in HALO:CE the monitor was just going to find another human.
