Hey guys, I've had H2v for a week and are loving every second of it, the main probs i seem to be having are during cinematics stuttering massively and the occasional slowdown of gameplay. My specs are:

7900GT
Athlon 4000+ Single Core
1 Gig ram

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

If the performance is that bad, I recommend lowering the settings.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

What settings are you running it on?

Massive amounts of explosions are the only real cuase fo slow downs ingame,

Been running on High Detail, No AA at 1280x1024

Other than these times it runs smooth as hell, dont have fraps to say what the frames are tho :P

Same here. Some (not all) cinematics are real jerky and the start of the level is almost unplayable, but after about 20 seconds it settles down completely and I get completely smooth gameplay.

That can be because of a lot of diffrent things. One, even on the xbox it was like that. And/or Two, you must lower the settings a wee little bit then you will be able to tell what's going on.

You need more RAM. Or, lower settings.

Another gig of ram would probebly help and yeah I somsetimes get the jerkyness, and in gameplay I get massive slowdown, I acually turned down my res to 1024x768 and it improved, still high setting and 2xAA.

Intel Core 2 e6600 OC`d 3.0GHz

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Another GB of RAM won't help his problem. Buying RAM isn't the solution to everything. What he can do is close his Windows Sidebar, if it is open. If not, he should try defragging his hard drive.

RAM will help this.
If you think about it, Vista itself needs atleast 2 gigs to run well.
