I found a solution for you guys who are still having trouble. I had the same problem so I think this should work for the majority of those who have been having problems. Now normally when Vista crashes there is something called a "Bug Solver" under Process in the task manager. I found it taking up over half of Core 1s work load while Core 2 was at a stand still. Now it's different for every computer because some of you may not have a dual core CPU. YOU MUST end the process of "Bug Solver" before you enter Halo 2 Vista again, you should notice no more loading or frame rate issues at all. I perminantly ended the "Bug Solver" process on my computer so I never get choppyness at all. Hope this will help some of you who are still having trouble. I benchmarked my computer after I solved it and I'm getting a nice averaged 120 fps. (Silky Smooth) I can't guarantee that this will work for all of you, but I know it helped out a lot.

Are you sure that isn't one of the programs installed on your system? I never saw that when I had Vista.

Like I said it might be different for some folks. Sometimes certain drivers will have internal programs that can alter an application's performance. Now this sounds weird, but if "Bug Solver" is not there on startup, than wait unitl your game crashes and then check to see if you can see the process. End that process and you should be set.

Yes it should. There are still bugs (Hanging) in Campaign and sometimes in Multiplayer, but hopefully that will change with the next update.

When H2 VO crashes pull up the process menu in the task manager, it will be there. Oh and I'm never going to surf the web on that computer (Never have never will), I'm using my old computer, so I know it's not a Virus.

I recommend Velocity Micro, they really know how to take care of your PC. (Unlike Alienware which was my last purchase).

- Note, that's split up so that it's allowed :)

H2V honestly never crashes for me...and I can't see Bug Solver any where, not in MsConfig and not in the task manager.

How 'bout smashing your computer-- with the Halo 2 Vista disk in-- with a 16 lb. hickory handled sledge hammer?

Or a Cricket bat if you're dissapointed (already) with the teams/outcome this year.....damn Bungladesh and Australia....
Otherwise, sorry but I have no idea. I'm not purchasing the game until some form of patch ( other than fixing a bare .ass ) or fix is out. If they don't come out with one, I'll probibly buy the game later on anyway.
