Originally meant to help organize lan parties for the first Halo game, groups are like miniature versions of Bungie.net forums. Since Halo 2 has come out with Xbox live compatibilities, using groups for their original purpose has since for the most part fallen out of practice. Now they are used for forums for a wide variety of topics and themes. Currently they are trying to be retooled to have more of a purpose.
they are a private place were ppl with similair people gather and share thier intrest. check my sig, i am the pres of a halo 2 production company group.
I have a question what are groups?? what do they do and stuff liek that. i just joined here so i am not fimilar with alot of stuff.
okay i see now. they don't seem of that much of an importance though lol.what are they doing to make them more useful?? since liek you said it was made for talk about the original halo

There are also many groups that let you post things that aren't allowed on the main forums like sex or politics or religion. It just varies from group to group. Think of them as mini communities. You can meet people more closely than you would just going through the main forums.

Some groups, for example, focus on talk of strategy for Halo 2 or Halo 3. Others focus on being a place where people with similar interests can hang out.A great group to start out with to join is The Guide. This group provides group reviews of other groups as well as interviews of Bungie staff, moderators, and Community members. It should help you to find a great group to join if you are so inclined. If not, there's nothing against unjoining groups as well. So I would encourage you to check it out! Also, see more about groups and chapters on Bungiepedia. Enjoy!
thanks for the links, this helps alot. just trying to learn and get a hang of things now rather than later lol.
