Subject: How Sensitive Are You?

Hey, this may be a completely preferential question, but is there an optimal look sensitivty for HALO 2? Right now i fluctuate between 5-6.

I use 6. I have done for probably two years now.

Leave no man behind. But be prepared to stand alone.

I'm currently at 5 in Halo 2, but I found I was a bit out of control at that setting in the Beta. A guy I play with alot online claims his setting in Halo 2 is maxed. I goofed off at high settings just to see what would happen. But, honestly, I don't see how someone can really maintain control at the highest setting. My buddy says the highest setting is best in Sniper matches if you can handle it. Me, I'm stickin' with 5 for awhile.

i used to play on 10 but after not playing for 5 months i had to go down to 7 eventually ill go back up to 10 tho. =P its not that hard to handle

Yah, like i said, I'm a 5 or 6 as well, but i just dont know if im cheating myself by not working up to higher levels. Its tough in smaller levels to not be able to turn around as quick and it sucks in mid/long range to not be able to control the reticule (br, sniper). Im just curious if there is an optimal setting that works well for anything. Maybe it is in the middle (4-6) but i sure do get my @$$ kicked alot on line. I feel like i am nothing but montage footage:)

There's only one kind of metal, and it's black.

Beer = win

5-6

5 is optimal for long and short range BR & sniper.

6 is optimal for close range maneuvering and BR. Gets a bit nasty for long range sniper.

No one ever said you couldn't change your sensitivity for certian situations. If you're sniping on a long range map, 5 is optimal. 6 may be better for smaller maps.

If you're just playing regular 2v2 or 4v4, I prefer 6. A mix of both may be desired.

I play on 7, and used to play as high as 9. Anything above 7 now feels way out of control for me. Below 7 makes it too hard to win melee battles.

I use 3 while I'm playing team snipers, works good if you use sweeping technique, and 5 when I'm playing any other exept snipers.

This is the way the world ends.

10

if i havent played for a while i usually go down to 7 and work my way back up. I cant change it often though because i have to get used to it. I dont find it hard to use it on 10 because I know EXACTLY how much pressure i need to turn any distance. (not literally, its like instinct) I Find that higher sensitivities are better at close range, I can jump over you, turn around and melee your head before you even know what happened. But for sniping, Im usually good at first but as the game goes on I get like, anxious or something, but I start to lose control, like overshooting and having to slowly aim at my target. But it usually only happens in sniper games of any long duration.

"If I'm not back in five minutes... just wait longer."

I did use 7, but I recently changed it to 5.

I play on 5 personally.

Its not good to switch your sensitivity often though. Your hands develop muscle memory and when change you sensitivity alot it causes your hand to "get confused" Thus making you -blam!- up more.

Well, I'm actually playing better now that I changed it.

I mean you can do it every once and awhile and you might get lucky and play better on one than the other but its overall just not a good idea.

Back off man, I'm a scientist.

I prefer playing on 10, it makes me feel faster than everyone else knowing I could just turn around and shoot you in the face before you even realize that I even AM turning around, plus it's good for playing with shotguns only, haha, me playing on 10 is probably also the reason that I'm not good at sniping
