sniping is one of the basic uses in halo altogether. If you dont have a reliable sniper in your team you are sc3wed. It takes alot of practice to shoot someone with a sniper rifle up close. unless the opponent is a newb. If you keep jumping when you are attacking a sniper up close it is hard to hit a moving target. You have to have fast fingers and a quick trigger. yes it is easy to kill some one with 2 shots of a sniper rifle. Its the rush you get when someone is there. your ready to kick arse. Go down with a bang. Then come back and kick the sorry arse that took your sniper rifle. For a sniper it is hard to stay in the game with the gun because you only have so many shots. You have to go back down and get more rounds for the sniper. If you are not great at slayer than you are probably not going to survive. Plus there is the possibility that someone already has the sniper rifle so you have to go get it. So there is a big possibility that the sniper is going to come across a couple of people. i am a sniper myself, if you are a sniper you have to be able to kick someone arse up close. if you cant then you are not exactly a good sniper. Thats my opinion

See, the problem with your post as a new thread is that you didn't really leave any room open for a debate or discussion. You just gave your opinion, and didn't ask any questions or give us something to talk about. Your post would have been good if someone had posted before you a question such as, "Do you think sniping is for noobs?"

Hopefully that makes sense. I think that's the reason why you aren't getting very many responses.

I agree with you for the most part though, sniping does take skill and it certainly is not for noobs.

I agree, im realy the only true sniper out of all my friends, they all get lucky and get a head shot in but thats after firing all 4 shots. but they do have me beat with the BR but I'd rather have a sniper in my hand if I walk around the corner and someones their waiting on me any day of the week, unless I got a shotgun of course.

Sniping takes skill, I'll grant you that. But note that some gametypes don't require or allow sniping (Swords, Rockets). In some, there's no time for sniping.

Carrots.

Not true. A pack of Wolves can easily take out a hawk.

Your opinion is flawed in some ways, but I do partially agree with you.
I agree because you say if you have a good sniper on your team, you have a better chance of winning, and that is true, in certain cases.

You see, I can tell you are a sniper, but you don't have to show off by saying that "it's impossible to win if you don't have a sniper". Because I've won so many games just using an SMG and shotgun. It's very possible to win without a snioper, and a Sniper is definateley NOT a fundimental skills in halo 2, not saying it doesn't play a role. I like having a good sniper on my team, but in some gametypes, they fail.

Sniping is NOT for noobs. It does take skill, and even with autoaim, it's still hard to get off a good shot. However, people call snipers noobs because snipers rarely get killed because they stand far away from the action with a high powered rifle, Killing people from long ranger without ever needing to worry about getting shot, and then we have bears who run out, get shot and wear their scars like badges of honor.
