Ok I just about gave a post to the top 20 non-sticky threads in a row and you are probibly tired of seeing my replies which looks like me throwing my 2 cents again. Well their is some purpose I am trying to do with this madness. I am trying to push back all of these anoying ad threads and other misplaced threads and spam in this forum.

First step is to identfy misplaced threads. If they already have a reply directing them to the right forum then I leave it at that. (Once is more than enough). If not then I give one reply only telling them where to post.
Second step is to identfy the legit threads. All the useful ones or ones that belong here I reply to to put them at top. I try to be informitive with my responses so not to just simply bump the thread. And I only go as far as the end of the first page so I don't bring up any old subject.

I know it seems like holding back the ocean with a push broom and all it takes is one bump or double post then it is all over again but if other bungie fans pitch in then mabey we can keep spam at bay at least in this forum.

That's a good theory, but you would have to bump the "good" topics an awful lot just to keep them at the top because of the constant stream of off-topic threads, especially in the Underground.

Ah, mass attempts to help the forum never work. I should know *cough* NMST *cough*.

Surely, bumping is bad though, no matter what the conditions and context?

Its like claiming innocence for muder because the guy you killed 'wasn't very nice'.

Dudes, leave it to the mods. Thats my advice. Just enjoy the forums, and inform someone if they post in the wrong place. I mean, its hardly unexpected is it? A load of new users are bound to go straight to the top forum and post.

Ah, if you mean what Recon described, then yes, thats a good idea. But don't we do that anyway? Look for a good thread, and make a relevant contribution?
