I have a turbo edition 1650 for $150, works great on games. I'd go with that since I really don't like Nvidia, but it's not my choice, it's yours.

For this I would say the 1650, but I will always recommend Nvidia. They've never let me down and their SLI (And their Video Cards) have always been above CrossFire.

Comparing technical details side by side, I guess I'd personally choose the 1650.

The only downside to ATi is that their support has been lackluster for years and their SLI, while ok, isn't nearly as good as nVidia's. I do have to give ATi some props for getting stable Vista capable drivers out for their cards faster than nVidia did. I just happen to be brand loyal to nVidia and (*puts on flame suit*) Intel. But if brand loyalty isn't a concern and you just want to go by raw specs, go for the 1650.

The 7600 GS will acctually get you a better framerate in games than the x1650. Go for the x1650 pro at least. Or acctually, don't even bother with the mainstream cards, and skip right to the 7800 GS and x1900. Or even better, don't bother with the outdated DirectX 9 cards, when DirectX 10 is around the corner. For a few extra bucks, you can score yourself an 8600\8800 GTS\GTX\Ultra or an HD 2900 XT.

How about listing some kick-ass cards that are $75-$115?

To answer your question, you obviously don't want a dual-card setup so the 1650 is your best choice. But I have two problems with your post.

First, you obviously don't know the two video card brands. You said Radeon and Geforce, the cards are made by ATI and Nvidia respectively. since you don't know anything about hardware, it also means you don't know how to install cards so you're going to pay someone else to do it (at a huge markup) so in THAT case, especially since installing hardware is so simple, you can buy a 25 dollar xbox that has color-coordinated cords and play Halo 2 at Higher settings.

Second, your username also betrays the fact that you either made it just to discuss Halo 2 Vista, or even just to post this one time. So you're not really a PC gamer man, and it's a lot of hassle if you don't love it for what it is. Rethink your decision to buy the game and come back and see us soon.
