Chillin' without a crush
I haven't touched Halo 2 since the beta came out. I logged in today to play a few games and it said the title required an update (I don't remember hearing anything about this in recent weeks). Then once I got the update all my downloaded maps were gone. I got an error message that said the files had gone bad, and it's making me redownload them. That's all of the maps, not just the 2 recent ones.Anyone else have this problem on their 360? Any guesses what caused it?
Well, it cleared your map cache, so it deleted maps that you didn't have on the game disk (aka the mappack maps). That's the reason for the redownload, and no, its not isolated to the 360.
Weird, now it appears that the maps are still there, but Halo 2 thinks they are not.I can join a custom game that is running on Tombstone or desolation, and it works just fine. But if I try to start my own game, those two maps aren't on the list, and it won't allow me in matchmaking because it says I'm missing them. I just played on them, so I know they are there. Is this some kind of file location error on the box?
wouldnt that mean he would have to buy them again?

Posted by: PC Shadowwouldnt that mean he would have to buy them again? It shouldn't, no. Once he's bought the maps once, he should be able to download to the xbox he bought them on as many times as he likes.
better check your credit card, i was charged 4 times,
Oh gee you didn`t know about that, is it because your suck switch didn`t work. Or is it because you are a Geisteszwerg. Maybe because your a syphilitic mutant inbred.
