According to my December issue of Game Informer:
"If you've finished Halo 2 by now (of course you have), then you know that anyone who thought that Bungie wouldn't do a Halo 3 is dead wrong. The developer is already hard at work on the series' third iteration on Xbox 2. The studio has unceremoniously dumped all of the dev units for the original 'box. When we say "unceremoniously," we mean piled bonfire-like, waiting for the garbage truck."
The next generation of consoles is at least a year and a half away from what I've read.
And as far as not getting what you were promised is concerned: I watched every video, read every article, bought tons of mags just to get my hands on info for this game. Bungie gave you exactly what it "promised," albeit a few things they couldn't get to work how they wanted or couldn't finish in time because people like the lot of you were scrambling over each other screaming, "now, now now!"
I'm sick of hearing people whine about this game. It's not like you bought Fable (which actually DIDN'T come through with its promises). And if you did buy Fable, my heart goes out to you.
I'm willing to bet Febuary 9th will mark the day that the filler book from Halo 2 to 3 will come out. In the meantime, just have fun with the game!
