Power of Will is a Weapon. Never Die!

Sometimes, on some of the textures, mainly those of the Covenant and their ships and the Master Chief, I have a bunch of lines blinking on and off on the textures. I also have it happening where there's a bunch of light on like walls. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips to fix it?

Specs:
Vista Ultimate
Intel Core 2 6400 @ 2.13 GHz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS

I had a problem like this on my 880GTX. I fixed it by downloading the latest drivers.

It's really bad on the main menu screen, as the camera pans over New Mombasa.

The MC. Not as noticable, but the lines are flickering on and off when the game is in motion.

No on the x64 Vista question. Hmm...another question. Ya, It's only showing 3GB RAM, but I have 4GB in the system....So do I just have 1GB sitting there, not being used?

If you have 4GB of ram but only a 32 bit OS then you can't use all of your RAM; you'll have to get a 64 bit OS to make use of all of your RAM.

Yes I had that also and I'm not sure what I did to corect it. I had the latest drivers so I don't think it was that. You may want to try downloaded the two patches for H2V and manually installing them.

If you have Vista Ultimate then one of the install disks is the 64 bit OS. You'll need to install that one to use all your RAM and its great ... BUT its also less supported so there are some apps that are Vista compliant but not 64 bit compliant.

I had the same problem. When I connected to Live, it downloaded an update and that fixed it.

Power of Will is a Weapon. Never Die!

Downloaded the latest drivers and everything works like champ. Thanks, everyone.

Also, thanks for the info on the RAM question. New PC and all, still getting my feet wet with Vista. You guys rock! :-) Will have to give 64-bit Vista Ultimate a try.

x64 editions will detect the REAL amount of RAM u have. x32 editions can only go up to 3 or 3.5 GBs.
