will H2V run on high with an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT(with 3ghz and 2.5 gb ram)?

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

Sorry, but no. To run H2V on high you need a 512 mb graphics card, and yours is only 256. Medium will work fine though.

Get the 8600 GTS for about 20 bucks more. Even better is the 8800GTS for about 100$ more.

I'm running H2V right now on High with 40-70 FPS(VSYNC ON) using the 8600 GTS.

My Resolution is 1200 x 900 and my level of detail is at high. No Complaints.

My other specs are AMD 3500+ and 1 GIG Ram.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

You can do high with a 256 MB card. If it gets low on memory, it will draw from the system RAM.

My 8600GT (256Mb) runs Halo 2 on High at 1440x900 including AA, and it stays at 60 FPS no matter what. Please stop with the bull-blam!- mis-informed "need a 512" crap. This is Halo 2 for god sake not Crysis.......

How are you playing at 1440x900? That's my monitor's native resolution and it's not an option in-game.

I'm with him, I have a 8600GT card and I don't get that resolution as an option i H2V. So I'm going to have to see a screenshot of it to believe it.

I still don't understand why people are getting it to run well with 7600s, 7800s, 8600s, and 8800s, but I can't get it to run well at all with my 7900 GS. It doesn't matter at the moment, though, because when I moved my computer into a new case, the power supply ceased to work. : (

Hm my 7900GS is working great for it. As for the guy saying you need a 512 to run it, youre crazy man. A good quality 256 can -blam!- 512s

Well, I can get around 30fps when playing Halo 2 on MEDIUM and 1152x700 or whatever it is with an 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro PCI-Ex. Looks pretty.
