http://www.xfire.com/profile/sgtpepper1724/ (forgot how to make a link-again) anyway, scroll down to the 'gaming rig section. If that 8800 was a gtx as opposed to a gts then everything would run on high. Problem with the gts is not enough memory (320 mb). Need a 512mb card to run it on high.

Not necessarily. First of all you can get a 8800 GTS 640MB so you don't need the GTX. Secondly I'm running H2V with all the settings turned up and it runs fine. I'm also running in 1680x1050 resolution (forgot to mention that the 1st time).

My setup:
Intel Core 2 Duo e4300 @ 3.3GHz
Gigabyte GA-965P DS3 Mobo
2 GB of G-Skill DDR2 800 RAM
EVGA nVidia 8800 GTS 320 MB
X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card
2x160GB Maxtor 7200.6 RPM drives with XP Pro and Vista Ultimate on each in Dual Boot config
750 Watt Thermaltake Tough Power PSU

lol @ the person who said 320mb isnt enough. Most games dont even use 128mb.

I have:
- 8800GTS 640MB @ 550mhz / 96 PPL
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 2600+ 2.4ghz
- 2GB DDR2 800

A few screenshots:

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

I sure hope my 7600 GT can run it at high. If not I'm going to have to overclock.

AMD Athalon X-2 4200+
Asus 256mb nVidia 7800 GTX
3mb DDR400 RAM

I get 50+ fps.

All you have to do, is every time a map loads is go into your video options, then re-set your Anti-Aliasing setting. Your frame rate will shoot through the roof.

Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity

I run the game at 1280x720 (widescreen) on a 37" HDTV. I am using DVI-to-HDMI to connect the PC to the TV.

Intel C2D @ 2.62GHz (2.13GHz stock)
Asus P5N-E SLI mobo
2GB (2 x 1GB) Corsair XMS2 DDR2 (PC2-6400) 5-5-5-12 1T @ 1.92V
eVGA 8800GTS 640 MB GDDR3
160GB HDD Seagate Barracuda
680W Apevia PSU (12V@24A)
Windows Vista Home Premium

With all of the above, my Windows score (index experience, whatever they call it) comes to 5.4.

Pretty sure you need 512 to run it on high.

- High: Best setting. This is where you get your money's worth with H2V. Textures are 512x512 (Means you need a 512MB graphics card or be prepared for major cache thrashing - AKA lag). Models are very detailed. 16x anisotropic filtering. Physics are very reactive and nicely optimized.

You guys try running TES IV: Oblivion on high. That's hard (expensive). Luckily, you can download all kinds of performance mods. :D

Quick question: Does light shine from the heavens on your computer when you turn it on?

Yep, and I hear a clapping and singing of angels also.

256mb is all that is needed for the textures. But the Extra memory is used as a framebuffer.

I'm running Halo 2 for Vista @ 1920x1080 on my 1080p HDTV and it looks like dookie. It runs fine, but the transparent/glossy textures don't look right. It's completely unplayable as it is.
