Halo 2 was crashing for me every 2 - 10 minutes, so I thought I'd try something. I turned off DEP (Data Execution Prevention) and now instead of 2 - 10 minutes, it's more like every half hour. I guess if I toned down the graphics and Anti-aliasing, it might not crash forever, who knows. Anyway, for you people who don't know how to turn off DEP COMPLETELY (tried doing it only for Halo 2 , won't work), here is how:

Disable DEP in Vista:

1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs
3. Click Accessories
4. Right Click on Command Prompt
5. Left click on Run as Administrator
6. Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission
7. Type or copy and paste this into the command prompt window:

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

8. Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed Successfully
9. Reboot and DEP should be off.

I suppose if you want to turn it back on, just replace "Off" with "On". Try it and see if you get anymore crashes.
