the other day i was playing a game and i was hearing a player on the other team use the N word a ridiculous amount because he was badgering someone who was black on his team. why do people have it in their heads that this is ok? why associate yourself with ignorant people who actually murdered people because of skin color? its not funny, its definitely not cool, so why be such a bigot. I know it can be used in a light context to be funny but when u r attacking someone with that word it is a despicable act. think twice when you want to act this way...please.

Well, they're idiots who don't think about how it makes others think. I guess you don't have to use your headset.

I'm certifiable.

Sadly there are people who will try to offend anybody who can't punch 'em. These sad sacks generate the bulk of offensive talk on Live. The best solution is to mute them and then send Feedback to XBox Live to let them know said sad sack is abusing his microphone. (Harassment works.)

-- Steve wishes it weren't so, but there are a lot of undersocialised people out there in the world. It's a pity Bungie can't retrofit Halo 2 with Halo 3's superb "A hole button".
