Keeep Out of reach of children!!!

When I first got the game I set the res to 1280 x 768 to get a better frame rate (It worked). My monitors native res is 1680 x 1050. Well I set it to run in a window mode (just messing around with it) and then I tryed to set it back to 1280 x 768 on Full Screen, it minimized and I cant get it back... End Task try again, minimizes again. The only way to get it in Full Screen is to set it to 1680 x 1050, but if I go below that it minimizes. Is there anything I can do to make it run at a lower res?

Windows Vista Ultimate x64
nVIDIA 7950GT
2 Gig RAM

not sure, try setting everything to default, at least the game will work. I also have a question. When i bought the game, i already knew that i did not have the reccomended video card for the game, and i still don't. The game runs just fine, so lagging, maybe a slight decline in graphics, but theres one thing i don't understand. When you go into settings you can set your armour color, but, whenever i play the game, master chief (and everyone in multiplayer) has white armour. I have a hunch that if i get a better card i'll see colored armour, but i'm not sure? can anyone help me out?

With a system like that, you shouldnt need to lower the res to get better FPS. I have mine at 16x10 with 2GB of ram and 8800GTS 640MB, and an AMD Opty 165 @ 2.75GHz and I get around 80-90FPS with everythign maxed. Unless there are settings I havent found. Either way, you should at least get 60-70FPS with that 7950GT.

can anyone tell me y the latest drivers from nvidia took my native res away??it was 1280x720 hell i cant even run halo2 vitsa on that res it only goes up to 1024x768.im thinking of uninstalling the new drivers so it goes back to normal cuz it has done this before but what would happen when i would try to play H2V.

Keeep Out of reach of children!!!

im saying it wont let me change the res anymore after I put it in window mode it wont let me lower the res at all below 1680 x 1050. and the 7950 has 512 MB so its not bad. I actually get much better frame rates in other games after I switched from a 8600 256 MB

If it helps I have the exact same problem, doesn't matter what resolution I change it to the game minimises and then can't go back to full screen. It's not a problem with anything other than Halo 2
