I am using a razer diamondback 1600dpi right..

At first I thought i was my fps but I checked and it was in the 100s, so I cancelled that so that out.. but on other maps the fps drops as low as 30-40 for the whole game in certain parts of the map usualy where the action is, my specs are:

e6600
8800 gts oc2
2gb ddr2

And when using the mouse it feels so jerky and slow it just totaly screws up your aim.. to the point of makin the mouse so bad I might buy a controller tomorrow

If anyone knows the issue causing this or how to fix it, it would be appreciated !

Turn off V-sync in your game options.

No.

Kim, you're the one that is wrong. VYSNC just limits the games framerates to your monitors Hz. My monitor is at 85 Hz so therefore I will get 85 Hz max. No monitor that I know someone would use goes to 40 Hz and therefore it is not the reason for his low framerates and jerky mouse.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Wait a sec, does it do this in both single player and multiplayer?

The reason the mouse seems laggy and sluggish is because mouse acceleration is forced on. If you want to see what I mean go to mouse properties in control panel and turn on "enhance pointer precision." It is an old feature designed to make long movements with old ball mice quicker. It's a ridiculous oversight to force this in h2v and makes fast and precise aiming next to impossible.

I want to ask if they are going to fix this, but there seems to be no real way to contact Hired Gun. Yipee!

Either you or I am missing something important.

im not sure about halo 2 but i had this issue when playing bf2 and it said i was getting 60 fps after typing "renderer.draw fps 1" and it said i was getting 60 fps because my renderer (vid card) was giving 60 fps but i had insufficient ram so i was getting more like 5-10 fps so what speeds are your ddr2 sticks even though i doubt there the issue but still. and also while playing halo 2 in the "jerky" spots open up task manager and see how much ram is being used.
