I'm planning on getting a ATI Radeon 1650 card. It has 512mb do you think this card is good enough for H2V?

It will play AOK at 1024x768 on medium detail.

Assuming you have a good cpu and 1+ gb ram.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

If you can spare money for extra RAM, that will save your GPU a little bit of chugging to do, so you can use that for a liitle better gaming experience.

My computer has 1.43 g of ram and doesn't the video card give more to it?

No, Vista uses quite a bit of GRAM for an OS, I would atleast make a little bit of virtual memory for it though.

Thats not correct, Vista uses the GPU to help render aero as it's faster than using the CPU for it.

The Saphire ATI X1650 Pro 512MB card is what I have.

It is a good card for MOST things...but Halo 2 Vista...I would go with higher.

I wish I would have, I can play it VERY smoothly at 800x600 on LOW settings and BARELY ok on anything higher than that.

Don't get me wrong the card is a great card but for H2V I would go with higher :P

That's what I said. It uses the GPU a lot for an OS.
