I myself just bought the controller so i use it. My graphics are bad so it is harder to use but when i get my graphics boosted up it should be better than keyboard and mouse. what are your opinions? Please type them down.

Telekenesis is used for those who can't play halo 2 and just use their brain to simulate a game. =P

Get ready to be pwned. I have used both. Once you get used to keyboard and mouse you will never go back. Why? You turn around quicker and you can control soooo much easier

I play kb/m When walking and pickup the controller when I get and a vehicle. Dam game has slow mouse movement when you drive something.

Quoted for truth.

Who needs auto-aim with mouse targeting precision? Bwahahah.

Only mouse complaint: controlling vehicles sucks. The warthog, even on highest mouse sensitivity, feels like trying to move in sludge.

you guys might persuade me to use kb/m again. too bad this controller cost 40 dollars that would be a waste.

I, for one, use both. The reticle magnetism makes it a lot easier to aim with the controller, though. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

And from what I've heard, the mouse and keyboard controls for Halo 2 suck, which might have an influence on people's decision to use the controller over the mouse and keyboard.

The mouse and keyboard pwn though. By the way, this thread has totally never been done before.

I actually kind of like the mouse and keyboard settings for Halo 2. They're really not that much different than those in Halo 1.

Aren't PC games supposed to be played with the keyboard and mouse anyways? =/

But yes, whoever said controlling vehicles in the Halo series with the M/KB is horrible, I agree. Racing/vehicle-related genres are better on consoles, while FPS is better on PC...

...wait why not set your look controls (default: mouse movement) with your keyboard arrow buttons as the secondary? You can always toggle back everytime you get in a vehicle or out. =D

I use both. The controller is my favorite, but I use M+K in Multiplayer (when I'm reasonablly challenged by my opponent) to prevent being raped.

I use telekenisis. KB/M and controllers are for the weak.

MrNick01, try playing multiplayer with a controller. I'm sure you'll agree that it's much easier. It feels so cheep, though, using it against mouse and keyboard users, who have to actually aim, which is why I use a bit of both.

i am a keyboard and mouse player

but in halo 2 i have to use the controller at least until they fix a few of my problems.

i cant change the bindings on the q and e keys

and even with the mouse sensitivity up all the way it feels like it weighs a hundred pounds.... the whole "keyboard and mouse players can turn around quicker and aim more accurate in a short amount of time" argument doesn't work for me with this game right now so i am using a 360 controller until those problems are fixed

Veto for ARs!!!!

This question is going to sound really dumb, but here goes. In some computer games I've played with the 360 usb controller, it doesn't even detect one of the thumbsticks, which makes using it a little... awkward. H2V detects both, correct? (I want to be sure before I buy it, because I'm basically incapable of using a mouse/keyboard.)

Ofcourse it does, unless your thumbstick is broken.

Well this is a close match between keyboard/mouse and controller. right now the score between them is 14-controller 17-mouse and keyboard 5-telekenis. continue voting to see which one wins.
