Since it's a rule that you're not allowed to reply to a post in The Classifieds, I wondered, why don't they just disable the ability to post a reply (just in that forum, of course)

I think it would help out the moderators, and help to curb spam.

This has been discussed many times.. I'm sure Achronos could do it, but he's currently preoccupied with far more important things. (Related to Halo 3 stats and features and such on Bungie.net)

Maybe after Halo 3 comes out? :P I think it could help out in that forum.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Not sure if you can do that. All the forums (otherwise addressed as boards to Ideal Science) all are the same, just used for different purposes. If you disable the reply feature, you might have to disable replly for all forums. If they are idividually customizable then maybe. Ideal Science does give the consumer full customization over the boards you purchase but it might be to much of a hassle at the moment. Maybe after Halo 3.

Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

It's a nice thought but i'd image one which is much easier said than done. Then again, i don't pretend to be any sort of webmaster so i'm not really qualified as such to say for sure. I think we can trust most people to read the rules even though replies do crop up at times.

A good (albeit obvious) idea. Still, it's more fun seeing people getting banned for breaking the rules, in my mind.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I sure would love to see it. That way we would only have to go in there to find people making repeat threads and such.

Users cannot post new topics in the Gallery, so, obviously, the boards CAN be individually set up.
And it's just Java, I'm sure disabling one little button couldn't be all that hard.

sir_brilliant: To unite all people within our nation!
Rainman89: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
sir_brilliant: To extend out reach to the stars above!
SpaceGhostFlyer: Jessie!
Butane: James!
sir_brilliant: Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light
Butane: Surrender now or prepare to fight
sir_brilliant: Meowth, that's right!

It would just be the same function as locking a thread, only for all of them. I'm sure that could be done, I just don't know how hard that would be.
