Hello everyone! I, including many other people, will be training for the "Halo 2 Xbox LIVE Challenge" tournament from 6/9/07 - 6/11/07. We will only be playing official 2007 MLG gametypes, so only join us if you believe you have the necessary skills and abilities. The rules are no using button exploits (such as BXR), no superbouncing, no turbo controllers, no modding, no standbying, and anything else that gives you an unfair advantage. Play clean, good, and legit. All other 2007 MLG rules apply. All these rules are strictly enforced, and failure to obey will result in an immediate boot from the party. Six Halos will be the party leader, so add him to your list and join his game when possible. For those who don't know what the 2007 MLG rules are, they follow...
Original article: www.mlgpro.com
* 1. No grenade jumping.
* 2. No getting on top of any ledges on Warlock.
* 3. No super bouncing.
4. No communication between players during FFA games. Taunting is permitted.
* 5. No hiding the flag in walls or other structures.
* 6. No leaving the normal boundaries of a map.
* 7. No Action Replay.
* 8. No placing the ball or bomb out of reach.
* 9. No use of the "guardian glitch."
* 10. No portal jumping on top of bases.
11. No looking at an opposing team's TV or projected screens by players or coaches.
12. No quitting out of a team slayer game.
13. No use of the Covenant Elite character.
14. The higher seeded team must play as the Red Team and the lower as the Blue Team.
15. Quitting from a non-team slayer game, before it has ended, without referee's permission will leave your team shorthanded or result in a forfeit if all 4 players quit.
16. Players caught giving kills to other players during a FFA game will be warned. Players receiving two warnings during the same game will be disqualified. These warnings will not be carried over from game to game.
17. Incorrectly ending a game without referee's permission will result in a forfeit.
18. Players must use their registered MLG Login Name during all games.
19. No warm-up games may be played outside of scheduled warm-up periods.
20. During scheduled warm-up periods the winners can stay, but the losers must get up. Teams still active in the competition have priority over open stations during this time.
21. When players are given the option of using a full screen, teams can use 1-4 TVs.
22. Players may not raise the volume above 30 for Samsung and 50 for Phillips TVs. This rule doesn't apply to Station 1 or players using headphones.
23. In the case of an Xbox/TV malfunction, the game will be restarted from the beginning unless a team was winning Team Ball by more than the time remaining in the game.
24. Games started without the approval of a referee will be restarted.
25. If a player/team fails to report to their station within 5 minutes of the announcement, they will forfeit the game. 10 minutes after the announcement, a team will forfeit their Best of 3 Game Match or the 2nd game of their Best of 5 Game Match. 15 minutes after the announcement, a team will forfeit their Best of 5 Game Match.
Yes, the rules sound like your playing in a LAN party, but your not, so deal with it. All rules marked with a "*" are strictly enforced. All other rules only count when in a LAN party. Also, there will be no more discussion on weather or not button exploits are far or unfair. The rules specifically say that there are no button exploits allowed, and it'll stay that way, so deal with it. Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Best regards,
Shadowz O Death

Damn you roor!

Wouldn't it be a better idea to practice the gametype listed on the tournament page, instead of an mlg gametype which isn't part of this h2 challenge?

ummmm....MLG allows button glitches. What you just said basically is that you want to make it more fair for bad kids to win because they dont have the coordination to push three buttons in a row. Ill play by your rules though, send me a FR. GodofDeathKB.

I'm VERY sorry for any inconvenience! I just don't want people complaining about people using button exploits in order to win. Sadly, I do think it is a cheap and unfair way of winning. I'll add you as soon as possible.

Everyone that is on Six Halos's friends list will receive a party invitation to the "Halo 2 Xbox LIVE Challenge" tournament training session today at precisely 5:00 PM EST, so be ready to accept and feel free to bring anyone with you! :)

Everyone, the "Halo 2 Xbox LIVE Challenge" tournament training session ended earlier then we've expected. This is because of power outages due to storms within the south western part of Pennsylvania. It is expected to storm all throughout today, so we will not be continuing the training session until tomorrow. We're very sorry for any inconvenience.

Unfortunately, like I previously said, it ended earlier then we expected, so it will not be available at 6:00 PM EST. Although, we do play both 2007 MLG FFA (Free-for-All) and TS (Team Slayer). :)

Best regards,
Six Halos

Yeah, good idea. Lets practice MLG settings, when the settings for the challenge involve Map Default everything, and played on Desolation and Tombstone(thanks to the epic failure of whoever planned this tournament).

Wow, acting like a six year old is your strong suit.

Lets think this through shall we? If you were going to practice for a tournament with default settings, what would get you more prepared? Practicing with default settings, or practicing with MLG setts. Thanks, you lose.

If you think SMG start games on Desolation and Tombstone have identical.......or even similiar gameplay as MLG games, you are disturbed.

I'm pretty sure Final Boss uses your logic, and practiced for Meadowlands in the Team Slayer playlist.

"We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We're evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that."

"ummmm....MLG allows button glitches. What you just said basically is that you want to make it more fair for bad kids to win because they dont have the coordination to push three buttons in a row."

Yeah, because breaking the game so you can gain an unfair advantage over your opponents makes you a shining bastion of skillful playing. Get -blam!- you little bastard.

Unfair advantage? What's unfair about BXR?

He never said BXR took a ton of skill. He said you're probably bad if you can't hit a 3 button combination, and that's probably true.

"Unfair advantage? What's unfair about BXR?"

Every time it becomes clear that someone is stupid enough that they actually require an explaination for that, my faith in humanity dies a little more.

Stupid enough? LOL. Sorry I have a differing opinion, that doesn't make me stupid. BXR is not unfair IMO. Its easily counterable, and isn't even an assured kill.

Why are most of these rules listed as if we're going to be playing next to eachother?
Isn't it "Xbox Live" Challenge Training?
