No, the resolution would merely be stretched to fit the monitor, which is bad.

He meant it is bad for this game because it doesn't support wide screen resolutions.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

It's bad only if the game doesnt support it which is why he asked the question to begin with. In any case, there are ways to prevent it from being stretched but it cuts off the sides of the screen and leaves them black to preserve the aspect ratio. In any case, why do you give bad advice on a subject you know nothing about? It should be a learning experience ;)

Slaying noobs since 2007.

Widescreen is very good, it gives you an enhanced and crisper expierence. Of course only if it's supported.

I'm using a 22" widescreen monitor with a 16:10 (I think) aspect ratio at 1680x1050 resolution, which is supported in h2v. It doesn't stretch the view to fit the screen, it actually makes your peripheral vision larger. The radar is awfully far down on the left though.

I'm with Blunt i'm afraid.

22" widescreen tft, the in game options give me the choice of 1680x1050 which is the normal size of my main monitor and the game doesn't look stretched at all.

I personally don't like widescreen. I'd rather also see what's on the top and bottom, stretching it out to make it wider is like trying to watch a strip of gum emulating tv shows. Fullscreen FTW.

Widescreen doesn't cut off the top and bottom. In fact full screen actually removes viewing space by removing real estate on the left and right side of the screen.

Yeah, that's assuming that the game doesn't support the widescreen resolution in the first place. If you want a resolution of a square box compared to a widescreen vista, that's your taste.
