i read it. But it's true, when halo 2 comes out, this place will be flooded with new people. things will go mooboo frenzy. On the other hand, in this way, alot of new people will be dissapointed and have to wait for a long time before joining.

One things for sure, i'll be making back ups of my databases. Even better, bungie will make them available for the founders to download.

And that's another reason why you'll never see my name next to Scorsese, Woody Allen, and Spike Lee. Scorsese speaks a lot at NYU, and I'm damn skippy no one's ever been like, "I'll suck your dick for five bucks!" -Keven Smith, Filmmaker

No new members, and the 7th column shut down are the ones I dont like the most becouse the data bases at my chapter dont have much in them

MSXL: The Last Honest Chapter

What!?!? MSXL's databases are loaded with stuff accumulated for over a year and a half! Where can I find this FAQ?

We need to save room or some thing like that, so don't make more databases, delete unused and unimportant databases.

As for Mr. Smiley and MSXL, I think that sux the most for you. I mean you have tons of stuff in your databases, all of that could possibly be gone. I hope you can some how make backups off site that you could save to copy and paste or some thing like that. Stripping a chapter of its databases is like taking out the organs of a person, they are what make the chapter run, even though you might not always see them, and some times they seem like they don't do any thing.

I deleted the Disband THIS and profiles databases over at founders...hopefully that will encourage other users to do the same with some of their infrequently used databases.

MSXL: The Last Honest Chapter

Luckily, MSXL doesn't have many databases... but the ones we do have are pretty active.

The best thing you can do is to limit the amount of content you will be creating for the next few months, especially in regards to databases. Don't put tons of time and energy into creating a ton of new stuff right now since the future is still uncertain.

But that's what I'm all about! Hmmm... that reeally sucks, but at least they'll give us the ability to save database content. Think about all the Lit of Halo, or all the member profiles getting deleted. That's years of work! *shrugs* What are ya gonna do.

Obviously we don't want to screw all of our loyal 7th Column brothers. The information in that FAQ is just a straight up honest outlook on what may or may not happen. The reality is that we don't know for certain how everything is going to pan out. Ideally we keep things going as they always have, but realistically there will have to be some give and take to accommodate the huge growth as well as the other new features we plan to implement. I will keep all of our founders updated as much as I can whenever new information becomes available.

Maybe we should make a limit. Say like 6-10 databases at most per chapters. We really wouldn't be able to enforce it, but just saying it and promoting it might do some good. What do you guys think?

Hm... and to think Lk, I told you to get rid of tons of databases when your chapter was rebuilding. Who's right now? =D

If you read the old chapter of the month crap or whatever it is on the 7th main page, it says that MOAP uses a "Zin like use of databases", maybe we should all take a little hint from MOAP?
