Slaying noobs since 2007.
Are you running any apps in the background? BTW, unrelated but do you have any RAID for your HDD's?[Edited on 06.10.2007 6:25 PM PDT]
yes the 600 gig is a raid and no i close all background programs including my virus scanners and firewalls
Is all that HD space really necessary? I've used two 60 gig drives for the past 3 years, and I've only used 30 gigs of space on each one...
Which Vista version do you have? If you have the 64-bit, I'm suprised it works at all.Posted by: darekster2ongameIs all that HD space really necessary? yes i do alot of video editing and i have media center edition witch a 30min show = 4 gigs of space plus i have alot of games like wow is 13 gis of space and so on..... so yes i like to have alot of space out of about 1.3 tb i have used 400 gigs
i have the 64 bit version and it works for like 30 to 40 mins at a time then crashes if i need to i will get a tripple boot and run it on 32 bit vista
All I know is that most casual apps do not work with the 64-bit version of vista (to unstable), but if you can/want to triple boot it sounds like the only thing I can think of, you may want to wait and hear from a few other people on here first, like LOL WALMART, or some others.[Edited on 06.10.2007 6:40 PM PDT]
ok thanks
Yeah, sounds like some sweet hard drive(s) setups though. So you have a terabyte, eh?
ya a little over my computer screams but it dosent like halo 2 vista lol
lol, Yeah, I had considered getting a few hundred more gigs, but I haven't used all that I have yet, so it would be a waste right now.
Hell, I remember back when it was a stretch to fill up a four gig hard drive. Double hell, I even remember when it was a stretch to fill up a 32 mb hard drive. That's right, 32 -blam!- megabytes baby.
Lol, I can remember those vague days too.
i have this same problem and im running vista 32 bit.
Let there be CHAOS!
