As great as it would be bro, i think that bungie will take the smart route first and release one of the biggest games of all time, Halo 3. But don't get me wrong, i would love to play halo 1 online with my nice x360 controller!!

1.Arkham Asylum, 2.Mass Effect, 3.Halo CE, 4.Mass Effect 2, 5.Halo 2, 6.Splinter Cell Double Agent, 7.Gears of War 2, 8.Medievil, 9.Oblivion, 10.Crash Team Racing

Or you could buy Halo PC.

What the hell? Same guy says Xboxlive HaloCe should be made and then he says why Halo2 and 3 sucked and Shadowrun will be better game than Halo3 because of 1 employee?

I say this, Halo PC is not, I repeat, not a suitable substitute for an actual Xbox Live-enabled Halo: Combat Evolved.

Have you played Xboxlive enabled Halo? HaloCE live version wouldnt necessarily be same than Halo2 live.

Halo over XBC gives an idea of what it could be like.

Kim is right, Halo PC is it's own game. If you look at it as a straight port it's bloody awful, but I don't mean any disrespect to its fans or creators so I'll say it has it's own attractions.

5 years and counting on Bungie. I feel old and worthless.

pc is funner because you can mod and there is huge custom edition maps and online multiplayer

Xbc isn't quite the same, as latency is different from Xbl lag. Some can adjust to Xbc off host, but it still isn't the same. I just wish that they would come out with h1 xbl. I doubt it will happen, but I guess there's always that hope.

Please Bungie, redeem yourself w/ Reach.
Halo 2 and 3 both stink out loud.
In the immortal words of Mr Horse: Halo 2? No sir, didn't like it.

I'll reply to each of these posts that keep coming up. I would buy more than one copy for sure.
Bungie would make $$ off of this no doubt. It wouldn't be *that* much work either. There are APIs built into the xbox for doing XBL stuff rather than every game developer having to code everything from scratch...

Some of you are missing the fact that is is a PC game that has tracked those stats. Not everybody who bought Halo for PC got it because it is a Halo game, but because it is a PC FPS as well. Just because people buy it for PC, doesn't mean that they'll buy it for xbox - or that they should re-release it. Of course, people that wanted an online-enabled Halo 1 did buy Halo PC as a sort of substitute; some people waited for the port to play with a keyboard and mouse over the controller.

Also don't forget the fact that without major recoding, Halo can't be easily online-enabled.

And also, what's with everybody going crazy for an online-enabled Halo? I know Xbox-Live is easier, and better, but don't you think that if people really really REALLY wanted to play online, that they'd do their best to get XBC or other programs running?

XBC really doesn't cut it. I've played H:CE on XBC and it's quite laggy if you aren't host, and "don't rush the count!!". I'm glad programmers have made it possible but the performance stinks (not really XBC's fault) and setting it up for some can be quite a pain. Plus you need a computer on top of your console to find games. H:CE's netcode assumed LAN play, which is all it supported, so it is far from optimized for internet play, even if on a VLAN type deal like XBC.

Give us Halo PC on the xbox... net play, new maps, a few new weapons, no changes to the graphics, and that would be a top selling product, no doubt!

No, but it's better than nothing - and it's all you Halo 1 enthusiasts are ever going to get.

And no it would not be a top selling product - alot of people that bought Halo CE 1) 6 years ago 2) are not going to buy it for online capabilities, only 3) the people that are really into Halo 1 will.

Halo PC is quite good if you find a server, especially custom edition. Now, having said that, XBC is terrible. I know hundreds of people that live near me that share the same opinion, which is, Halo 2 is unplayable. They would ALL rather have a re-released Halo 1 than ever blow fifty bucks to play Halo 2 online. It's not only in my area, either. It's a very widespread feeling, and even many who play Halo 2 would prefer a re-released CE. So, since Bungie would only gain from this move, I don't see the problem of doing it after Halo 3 is complete.
