I was looking through the Microsoft Knowledge base online! I found this But make sure u do every step =P duh

Account Management
1. In the Xbox Dashboard, select the profile that you want to modify, and then select Account Management.
2. Select Memberships.
3. Select the membership that you want to update.
4. Select Change Payment Options.
5. Select Add Credit Card.
6. Enter the credit card information for the card that you want to add.

u need to select the right payment method where it says modify payment options...You may have put the CC in through the computer but u didnt set the settings on ur 360 for that lol i was like i cant beleive i missed that! =P i would suggest u disable that afterwards because it will automatically charge ur CC for an updated subscription when it expires lol!
It is very frustrating i know!

Or if you already have a credit card, reenter the verification code and reattach it.

OR are you just talking about the original Xbox?
