I tried loading B.net on my PSP and had a pretty short load time. But it only loaded the blue square backround and nothing else. Not that useful.
This is just a test, i doubt it will work. Try for the url putting in http://www.bungie.net/default.aspx/a, that should load the front page without the background. Then work from there...

To do this for every url put /a after every aspx. Examples -

My Groups Basic
The Septagon (Community Forum) Basic

This wont work for groups the same though. For groups a different tequnique is needed, doing the same will result in going to the bungie homepage. Instead add http://www.bungie.net/fanclub/tomt/Group//GroupHome.aspx a second bracket where shown to go to a basic group homepage.

Basic Spartans Alliance

Finally group forums are different again. The aspx wont work, it just says access denied. You have to instead put in an extra bracket where shown -

SA Forums Basic
SA Forum Basic Random Topic

Credit to EAGLES5 who found how to make the front page basic. I just found the other stuff for groups, forums etc.

BTW to get a printer friendly version of thing it is useful to. An example is bungie.net help which is different again lol-

I work here: Sound Devices, LLC. We make bad-ass field audio gear, and you think that's awesome. My messy desk (With work-related items on the computer screen).

One does not simply grenade jump into Mordor...

It sounds like the PSP just has a crappy browser. How many people are accessing Bungie.net with a a PSP. Like 10 or 20?

Bungie.net extensively uses javascript - any brower that doesn't have a robust javascript engine will find many errors. A "simple" version for portables and non-javascript browsers is something that we've considered, but we simply don't have the time to do it.

I hear that a lot. Perhaps Bungie's next project should be a local-time-slowing-down-device, so they no longer have to abide by the rules of deadlines and cut-offs?

I would rather see bungie working on halo 3 instead of spending that time on a version of this site that isn't even hawt, wouldn't you?

Sounds like Bungie needs to call in the Fanboy Brigade off their good-for-nothing lazy bums and give back to the community they've helped create (and destroy) for the past some-odd years.

I.E. - Let this be user-created. Bungie has to deal with Halo 3, and they needn't be bothered with something so trivial.
