I played about 20-25 games yesterday and only 2. Yes 2, ended with 8 people in it. I have devised the perfect way to fix quitters.

In matchmaking.

Assualt - 1 Bomb wins.
CTF - 1 Flag wins.
Slayer - 15 Kills win.
Oddball - 30 seconds wins.
KoTH - 30 Seconds wins.

I know what you are thinking, it would be lame as hell to have such short games. How does that differ from now though?

then no one will play mm anymore. thats less then rp now. a team will have to chance if the other team has power weapons. and after you get higher levels theres barely any quitters and why dont you stop complaining and get a full party. and if you dont have enough friends on then your just sad

this should go in mm forum not h2

Did you read his post? He said that the games ended with less than eight people. Did you stop to think that maybe he was in a full party and the other team kept quitting out? That is also a problem with quitters. It makes the games no fun when you and your party cannot play a challenging game because it winds up being 8 v 1.

Can i Suggest to Bungie to give like a quitting percent or ratio, some type of way of letting know player to be able to tell to see if that person quits a lot. A feedback systems that tells other player how much you're likely to quit or how many games you quit, what type of game you quits most of the time. Build a award system for those who don't quit.

its because people are such -blam!-es, and think that once you are down 1:00 in ball, 10 kills in slayer, 2 caps in flag etc, they think the game is over.

i hate people that quit (although i quit H2 challenge today twice because its stupid).

i know what you guys are on about... the other day i played a match of SWAT and my team was behind probably 8 (i was doin all the work, no offence americans but some of you guys have to learn to play properly) and my entire team said "stuff this im goin" (not in those words though) and i had to do the match by myself. BUT in the end i managed to win the game and that shows that perserverance and strategy are important.

Your ideas are awful. It took about 0.2 seconds for me to think of a better idea than yours. If someone quits, make it so they can't play another MM game for 15/30/?? minutes. They'll never do this, though, especially at this point (with H3 right around the corner).

I think people just need to suck it up and actually play better and not quit, but what can you do, there is a "quit" button.

no reason why you dont like his idea (which would be preferred for intelligent discussions), and making a low intelligence response like that not only makes you look dumb, but you assume everyone agrees with you, but in truth not everyone will.

I've griped about people quitting in another thread, and something should be done.

It's one thing to quit because dinner is ready earlier than expected, or something comes up. But too many routinely bail out.

A simple "5 quits and your gamertag name shows up as red in the pre-game lobby" might do the trick since no one wants to be known as a quitter.

And, if someone gets the 5 quits and the scarlet letters, then they'd need to play perhaps 10 games without quitting in order to remove the mark.

Or, add something to the feedback option so those of us who stay in to the very end can enjoy taking revenge on the quitters. :-)

Let me ask, why is that a better idea?

Oh, and thanks for pointing out that my ideas are awful and assuring me that you have no sense of sarcasm.

Worst idea ever...http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=8664824

Maybe you should just not worry about how other people play a video game they bought. If they don't like a game, they have a right to quit.
P.S. This won't solve anything.

There is a problem with that sometimes quitters have good reasons for quitting like have to go, but for the most part quitters quit because they think they're going to lose so shorter games wouldn't help.

The way u fix it is by making the quitters lose 2 levels just like in beta, I k now it was rp points but levels should be alot more worth it.It sux cuz 1 team scores the flag or arms the bomb in the FIRST ROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when it 4 round games and they quit!!!! I hate tha about h2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i actually think thats a good idea, but the only thing is, can the game differentiate between lagouts and quitters? my internet connection isn't very reliable, a i lag out maybe once every 10 games, so yea, with that idea, thats my only concern

Look at the moron who comes to the Bungie.net forums and expects an "intelligent" discussion.

Please don't assume that you have the slightest idea what i'm thinking and certainly don't go so far as to think your opinion actually means something, because i've got some news for you:

It DOESN'T.

Recently it's been more like this: 15 seconds in ball, 10 kills in slayer, 1 cap in flag, or 1 bomb in assault. It's ridiculous.

I guess I should call him an idiot.

But yes, it's a bad idea. It takes a lot of time to assemble a matchmade game and that won't be worth 60 seconds of playing.

As apposed to spending all the time to get a matchmade game and then having people quit 60 secs in?

For the record people, of course this was sarcasm, it is a way to say the quitting problem is absolutely ridiculous.
