I had an xbox 360 premium console and I purchased the new maps on there, then just a few days ago I bought an Xbox 360 Elite and transferred all my of my data over to my new hard drive. So when I sign onto Halo 2 it says your maps are corrupt and to re-download them. I go to do this then it says you already have these maps would you like to re-download them? I hit yes and then it brings up your credit card will be charged for this amount. Is there a way so I dont have to pay for them again? Its only $4 dollars but Id still rather not have to buy them again.

Are you using the same harddrive that you were previously using on your premium 360?
If so, and assuming you downloaded them onto that harddrive, you should not have to pay for them again.
Call 1-800-4-my-xbox for assistance.

If you are using the new 120GB harddrive that came with your 360 Elite, then yes, you will have to pay for them again.
Bungie warned everyone about this before the maps were released.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I think it had something to do with the download being attached to the XBox it was downloaded onto. I assume you could just change out harddrives whenever you want to play H2. It's going to be a pain in the a$$, but would be save you 4$. Just an idea.
